Wasn't a huge fan for the cannoli type donut that a had cannoli filling or the vanilla cupcake but the glazed donut and the Boston cream was really delicious and I love how homemade and fresh tasted, and it didn't leave me with that artificial flavor aftertaste that a lot of big chain donut stores will leave you with. I've definitely had better vegan treats before, especially for the price point. One thing that really stood out to me was that there were no prices listed near the tarts or baked goods. Normally that might not be a huge issue, but in this case, I think it's important. When the cashier told us our total was $34, I honestly thought he was joking or had accidentally charged us for a small cake or something. We didn't question it at the time and just paid. Once we got to the car, we started second-guessing whether there had been a mistake. I even went online and checked their ordering page to confirm the prices. To my surprise, there was no error - the tarts are actually $17 each. I can usually justify higher prices if the food is truly exceptional, made with rare or unique ingredients, or if part of the proceeds go toward a meaningful cause. In this case, though, I didn't feel the quality matched the cost. There are several vegan bakeries in NJ that offer better-tasting treats at more reasonable prices. At that price point, I truly hope the workers behind the counter are earning well above minimum wage and that their hourly pay reflects what this place charges for a single tart. If customers are paying premium prices, it would be reassuring to know that the staff is benefiting from that as well. Overall, I think listing prices clearly in-store would help customers avoid sticker shock at checkout. Transparency goes a long way.

It's as if I was a kid again eating an imaginary meal at a play set. But the meal is far from imaginary... With a limited menu that changes regularly, they prepare rich meals of both quality and quantity. I had a sausage and potato stuffed omelet with carmelized onions that was a very delicious monster. Quite often, home fries are either greasy, or over-cooked, or even over-seasoned, but these were perfect. It seemed as if they had just pulled the potatoes from the ground that morning. My girlfriend had the best, "meatiest" tomato soup I have ever tasted, and her gourmet grilled cheese blew my mind. (If I didn't love her so much, I would have stolen it from her!) For dessert, we had white-chocolate raspberry cookies that were yummy beyond reproach. (The cakes in the dessert display may bring people to tears.)
