There are not enough words that can say how incredible this business is. Casey and Lex(owners)are…read moresuper and compassionate people that will help out in a situation if they can. I will go so far as to say that if you need doggie daycare, cat and dog groomers you will not find a better place to have your pets taken care. I also want to make sure that the entire staff and Cole, the Manager are equally caring!! I love you guys so much and a humongous thank for what y'all do every day to make your clients happy and satisfied!!‍

I take him to the dog park here in Norwalk and he plays with other dogs just fine around balls, toys and around the water fountain and zero issue. I showed up to pick up my dog who was a shelter dog and was told that he got really aggressive towards another dog and that he cannot stay at their facility again unless he goes through their training which I'm sure costs an arm and a leg. I just told them ok because I can find other places to take my dog. I was fine with that. When I got home with my dog he SPRINTED towards his water bowl like he hasn't drank in days. That is where I draw the line. There's no reason to treat a pet like this and I hope other people do not have the same experience as I did. Should be a zero star I'm so upset.

This large facility has either 3 or 4 large (rectangular) rings with a different class being given in each. There are a few daytime classes, but most are in the evening. All of the instructors are dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable volunteers who must love working with all breeds of dogs and their owner/handlers, as evidenced by their patience and understanding of the many dog training challenges. My dog also took basic obedience and the Canine Good Citizenship class which upon completion, he and 6 of the 7 the other dogs in the class passed on test day. My only criticism of this class is that we trained with treats the whole time, but the class before the test, we were told treats were not allowed by the AKC certified tester. (If we were told before, I must have been in denial.) This made a huge difference in my dog's willingness to listen to my commands once he realized there wasn't going to be any "pay/reward". I worked with him the week before the test giving him treats randomly as the instructor had suggested, but I feel that transition could and should have been emphasized and practiced more during the previous classes. DMOTC is still a terrific place for a wide variety of classes for your dog and I plan to continue taking my dog to their classes. They are also more affordable than other private for-profit dog training schools. We are lucky to have this established club in our community.

We decided to try DMOTC because it was closer than our previous trainer- Rover's Ranch. Signed up for puppy class. What a waste of time. Not only will you spend 45 minutes trying to listen to someone read a page of information to you, with two other classes going on at the same time, but she will only pause briefly periodically to let you try something occasionally with your dog. Useful things for good dog behavior like scooting their butt back while in down position or doing high fives (versus walking on a leash or good solid recalls) There is absolutely no socializing of your puppy with any of the other puppies in the class. One woman had a puppy that had not been around other dogs. It was trying to play, but no one was allowed to let dogs off leashes and people were encouraged to leave as soon as class was over. No playing-little, if any, interaction between people and other dogs or any actual skills the dog might need. We stopped going as it wasn't worth the time. If you are new to owning a dog or want your puppy to have experience with other dogs, save your money and look elsewhere.

Either way we suddenly could not go out in public because I feared the wrong dog would react to her behavior. Nala started going to Tiffany with ICO. She did one on one trainings for two hours twice a week. This past weekend we were able to return to the dog park and Nala successfully responded to other dogs in a proper manner. Not only did Nala respond correctly but I've also learned through Tiffany the importance of advocating for my dog and her right to her personal space. Nala had a fantastic time once again playing with her dog friends and meeting new friends. I highly recommend talking with ICO and helping your puppy change behavior before it changes them. Tiffany's communication is amazing while she trains not just your dog but also you on how to be a good dog mom/dad. I can't thank her enough!

Athena has made so many improvements & we continue working with Tiffany to continue improving Athenas behaviors as she grows. If you need someone who will give amazing advice & work with your dogs needs, choose Tiffany! She has also been accommodating on different payment plans & options. It can be hard to choose between affording help & being able to get help that our dog needs. Tiffany helped us do both & she has been so great.
