She did the group class and then we wanted more. We worked with Clint and he was super excited about how smart our puppy was. He was able to help us better communicate with our little girl and get her to communicate with us. It's amazing the number of words and gestures she knows as well as skills learned to tell us what she needs or wants. When we were expecting our (human) child we again sought out Canine Craze to help make the new transition seamless. We have a happy little family pack thanks to Canine Craze.

I have had other in home trainers in the past and definitely would recommend Clint over anyone else. We had Clint in our home for I believe six in home sessions for our year old German Shepherd rescue, Konah. We adopted Konah at 8 months after she was abandoned by her original owners. We did not have a lot of information on her upbringing. She started exhibiting concerning behaviors every time we had guests over, she would not stop barking, she also had lunged at and nipped at a few guests - which can be really scary for a guest to have a 70 lbs German Shepherd lunge at them. She would also freak out on walks anytime we walked past other people, especially if they had a dog as well. In general at home, Konah is such a great dog, she is a huge cuddle bug and sweet as can be. She also excelled at two different group training basic obedience classes, so we were really not sure how to stop these fear based behaviors with guests and strangers. Clint was a huge help!! He provided us with tools and support and was very responsive to any emails when we had questions and concerns for Konah. He would go on walks with us to observe her behavior. He was very kind and polite to us and very understanding. He provided us with great insight into what was happening with our usually sweet as can be pup. She still has a lot of work to do, but I wouldn't hesitate to ask for his help again. It is not a miracle solution for your dog and you will have to be willing and patient to put in a lot of work with difficult behaviors!

Sue, the Owner of In Home Pet Care is very passionate about her craft. What pleases me the most is that she is patient and truly listens to your concerns and instructions about grooming your pet. Its currently off Army Post, but when I started going to Sue the shop was just a small little place off of SW 9th right next door to Andy's Place. Their prices are very reasonable! I asked her to style my pup's hair a certain way and requested to use specific ribbon colors. It was my very first time taking my pup in, so she took me on a little tour of her "pet salon" - I loved that level of transparency! A lot of bad or shady groomers don't bother showing you the behind-the-scenes of their facility. She also allowed me to look @ her ribbon selection so I can choose what would best match my pups outfit....yes, I am one of those people dresses their dog! I dropped my pup off right @ opening (7:30am) and picked her up later at about 4pm - Sue was very friendly and took time to speak with me for about a full half hour about her professional experience, and other services. I told her that I just relocated from California, so she informed me about her "pup-sitting services" - which she does....In Home! =) Lastly, my pup smelled soooooo good. I don't think I've ever had her smell as good as she did after going to Sue...EVER!!! And my pup smelled great for weeks after!!! In Home Pet Care......HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! =)

We do NOT recommend Kawa Farms for Board and Train. ($2,250!!) When we began our search for a…read moretrainer we asked around and received mixed reviews about Kawa Farms. However, after speaking with Jen we felt confident that Kawa Farms was the right choice. Unfortunately, we are disappointed in the end result. Overall, we feel like we lost 6 weeks with our puppy for minimal training. We were very clear with Jen about our expectations on multiple occasions. We asked that our 11 week old puppy not jump, learn general commands such as sit, stay, down and walking with a lead. We also asked that she be potty trained. We were told by Jen that this wouldn't be a problem. She informed us that our puppy would be living in the house with her due to her young age. We later learned that she only lived in the house for a short period of time and was then moved to the boarding kennels. We quickly realized that training was not going as planned. After 2 weeks at Kawa Farms our puppy had not learned one command. We were told by Jen that it was our puppy's fault and that she must have experienced some sort of trauma which is not the case. She offered to keep her for 2 additional weeks at no charge. We trusted in her process and agreed to the extended training. When our puppy completed the 6 weeks of training she could sit and come on command (only for a treat and using a clicker) and would sometimes lay down on a soft surface only. This is obviously not what we expected for the time and money spent. We feel like the failed attempts to train our puppy were always blamed on the puppy. Now that we have her at home we disagree with that assessment. She is very trainable and we have been able to teach her a lot. Jen informed us that she would follow up with us in 2 weeks at our home. We never heard from her. We sent her an email regarding our disappointment and received no response. Overall, we feel our puppy would have learned more in a general puppy class.

I'm unsure if they actually offer value in their prices, which still seems really high. The staff there are always kind and professional. There seems to be high rate of turnover of the staff. They appear to have difficult and inefficient processes, perhaps that contributes to the turnover? One frustrating thing is there is not a phone line that goes directly to the clinic, but rather it is routed through a call center. I have my dogs groomed in the Petco, which is in the adjacent building and have yet to have Vetco be able to communicate to Petco that my dogs are fully vaccinated. Sometimes their printer is not working, this last visit I was told they are unable to email the records to Petco. At least the printer worked so I could walk through to the other side of the building and hand off the records myself.
