I have been a client of Matthews Dental for 5 years. My hygienist has always been Kim and lucky for me. Kim has taught me many things even beyond good dental hygiene. Kim has taught me about the connection between our teeth and heart health, about the meaning of the two numbers in our blood pressure results and other topics. But also, Kim is very attentive of the fact that I am hard of hearing and she makes a point of facing me and articulating when she speaks. And she takes this a step further - when other people are working on my teeth (to make an impression, for example) she will be there to ensure that THEY speak clearly for me as well. Kim is a gem! Truthfully all of the staff at Matthews Dental Care seem to be very professional, friendly and efficient. But I feel esp lucky to be working with Kim. read more

I hate going to the dentist. My family and I started going to Matthews Dental clinic a few years ago and although I have sensitive teeth, my check ups and dental surgery I've had to have over the past 5 years have been a pleasant experience. Still do not like metal and hands in my mouth, yet Dr. Surface and all the staff are so gentle, kind and great at calming any anxiety I have at every appt. I've been going to Matthews Dental Care since I was in high school. They are great at working with schedules whether you are a student or full-time employee. The front desk staff is always polite and prompt. You never have to wait once you arrive. I have yet to meet a Hygienist that wasn't incredibly kind and thorough. All the doctors are amazing and are willing to answer any questions or concerns you might have. There isn't much to like about going to the dentist but the people at Matthews Dental Care make it as good as it gets. read more

Going to the Dentist is not tops on anyone's list. This place is way different. They care. Dr. Palermo is great. He performed a root canal on me the day before I went on Spring Break with my Family.
