I was referred to Dr. Patricia LaFleur at the eye Institute for medicine and surgery. I was quite apprehensive as I have never had any type of eyelid surgery or eye. surgery or facial surgery before. I think that Dr. LaFleur was the nicest person I've ever met. Honestly. She put me at ease right away and was so kind and understanding, particularly given that I was a bit nervous. She answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. The surgery went extraordinarily well and it is as though the condition was never there to begin with. I was also concerned about the possibility of scarring at the incision site but I am so pleased to say that there's no evidence of scarring whatsoever. On another note, her assistants in the Office were also nice, friendly and polite. They were very professional and obviously everyone had a great deal of experience. The whole situation was as excellent as it possibly could be. If somebody else needs this kind of medical service and they live anywhere in the Melbourne, Suntree, or Rockledge area, take it from me, there's no need to travel all the way to Bascom Palmer or to mayo clinic. I always accompany my husband to his appointments, and Dr. Zabinski takes a moment to ask how I'm doing as well. That kind of personal care and attention is rare and very much appreciated. It's important to note that Dr. Zabinski recently changed offices and now has a wonderful staff who are professional, kind, and efficient. The new office runs smoothly, and the environment feels much more welcoming. Unfortunately, some of the older reviews still reflect issues from his previous office staff, which no longer applies. I have a tendency to kidney stones, and he monitors those closely for me. When they get too large to pass safely, he proactively suggests treatment before they start their excruciating passage from the kidney. I have also relied on him to surgically remove a prostate tumor that involved the bladder as well. In short, he's taken good care of my urological needs over the years. His new office staff is very helpful. If they can't answer the phone, I get a call back within 30 minutes.

Everyone in the room was sitting up because there was a fight and screaming going on outside. One woman was shaking and crying. Being bipolar isn't a cakewalk, but this was the worst facility I have been a patient in in my entire life. The staff threatened patients with "zeroing them out" from their points, fights continuously broke out, and it was close to impossible to speak to a staff member. Brevard County can surely do better than this. I live in fear that I will ever have another episode and have to go back. It was literal hell.
