This has been by far the worst experience using Keller Williams for a home purchase. The realtor's behavior was both unethical and unprofessional. Despite reaching a verbal agreement, the sellers and their realtor from Keller Williams attempted to add additional costs at the last minute without allowing for negotiation time, causing significant distress to us as the buyers. Moreover, after the option period ended, they tried to withhold our earnest money, essentially extorting us. We had to resort to legal assistance to retrieve the money and found Keller Williams unresponsive to the complaints, even causing distress to our own realtor. This place is just embarrassing.

The realtor representing the sellers (from Keller Williams) was astoundingly unprofessional and unethical. We had a verbal agreement ready to go. The sellers/ seller's realtor tried to sneak in a cost to us at the last minute and did not give us time to negotiate (sent to us at 4:30pm on the last day of the option period). Once our option period had ended, they claimed that they had a right to our earnest money since we did not come to an agreement - nor did we provide notice of termination. Essentially, they were extorting us for several thousand dollars of our own cash that we had put down, and they attempted to walk back/ rescind every aspect of the negotiatio knowing that if we did not agree, we would lose our earnest money. Had to consult attorneys to get our money back. I called Keller Williams to complain about this issue and they did not care at all. It got to the point where my realtor was brought to tears. I will not tolerate this shady, slimy, sketchy business practice. **** all of you. I will NEVER use Keller Williams any where, and if I am buying a home in Lubbock I will request that the sellers use a different agency.

Michelle Kauffman was difficult to work with but we made the deal happen.Since we were out of state buyers we never even met her in person! Michelle decided not to show up to give the keys or anything related to the home. Michelle also did not tell us (as buyers) the appraisal value. It came in a lot less than the contract price. Being cash buyers it would affect how we paid. No one wants to pay above appraisal value!! She refused to disclose this info. Along with all the 99 items that were wrong with the home and the seller's disclosure was a fraud. Michelle Kauffman is not transparent, very dishonest and highly unprofessional. However, over a year has passed and it's come to our attention Michelle Kauffman has told and given our information regarding the transaction of our property to another third party. This third party has falsely accused us of harassment, threatened our livelihood , and sent law enforcement to our house for no reason but to threaten us based on their assumptions not facts! Michelle Kauffman gave the third party personal and confidential information regarding the transaction we had with her with the property we bought a year ago. After giving this particular third party our information we started to get harassed and threatened with emails, texts and phone calls.  Michelle Kauffman is a real estate licensee who has a duty to keep client information confidential, including personal and contact information, and details related to real estate transactions. Realtors in TEXAS have a duty to keep client information confidential, including personal and transaction details, and generally cannot disclose such information to third parties unless required by law or with the client's consent. Michelle Kauffman violated rules and laws set by TREC. We did not consent to having any or partial information released to a third party who is basically harassing and slandering us or to anyone! Michelle is BY FAR the best realtor I worked with…read more She was always a step ahead of what I expected and she followed through on every one of my requests in a timely manner. Not only did she bring me 3 offers on day one, she also coordinated the cleaning, staging and of course professional listing of the home. If you have received Michelle's name as a recommendation, look no further. She's a go getter that stirs up the buzz you need.
