Her schedule is flexible and when I can't find a sitter she lets me bring my twins. She will even keep them distracted so I can get through the reps. Physically, I've lost 12lbs and gained enough muscle to pick up my twins, 30lbs each, at the same time! It took a lot of courage to show up for our first session but I'm very glad I did. Getting started postpartum was incredibly intimidating but I physically felt ready to try. For the Moms like me hesitating to get started I sent this to Sari about a month ago. "I reluctantly put on a pair of skinny jeans for the first time since giving birth to twins 3 years and they feel AMAZING!!! No more bulge. I can't explain what it's like when you have kids and you're this totally different person mentally and physically. For me, working out was not about vanity it's regaining control, confidence, and fitting into any size pair of jeans comfortably. What you do, it's more than a workout. Seriously, thank you Sari!"

I don't usually write reviews, but after seeing a recent negative one, I felt the need to share…read morewhat actually happened. I've been a member here for about 9 years, and if I could give Quads 1000000000 stars, I would. One of the main reasons I've stayed is how well this gym is managed. Over the past few years, after Sharon took over, she has clearly invested a lot into improving the space, renovations, new equipment, and better layout, and it shows. More importantly, Sharon and all the staff members take action to address everyone's concerns and have maintained something rare: a respectful training environment. These actions must not be undermined by the revenge of someone who was not allowed to break the gym's rules and policies. I was actually the person who reported the incident mentioned in that negative review 3 days ago. What was happening wasn't just "intense training"; it was excessive, repeated weight slamming that echoed across the entire gym, even between floors. It was disruptive to pretty much everyone there. When staff addressed it, they remained calm and professional, simply asking the member to follow the gym's rules. Instead of adjusting, the member pushed back aggressively, insisting on doing things his way and acting as if his training style gave him more rights than everyone else in the gym. That's not how a shared space works. To be clear, this has nothing to do with experience level. Some of the most serious, experienced, and professional lifters and bodybuilding competitors here train heavy and intensely, but they do so with control and respect. They understand the difference between pushing limits without creating that level of disruption or putting unnecessary stress on the equipment. This situation wasn't about "powerlifting." It was about refusing to follow basic gym rules and being disruptive. Problems like this tend to come from new lifters who confuse noise, ego-slam weights, ignore etiquette, and try to draw attention to their progress instead of focusing on proper form and control. The front desk handled the situation exactly how they should have: respectfully, clearly, and consistently with the rules. The claim in the other review that staff were "harassing" or "violent" is simply not true based on what I personally witnessed. No one was aggressive except the member who refused to cooperate. Instead of adjusting, the member pushed back aggressively, insisting on doing things his way and acting as if his training style gave him more rights than everyone else in the gym. When things didn't go his way, the review reads more like frustration than a fair account of the situation. What concerns me is how damaging that kind of review can be to a business that is clearly trying to do the right thing. This gym has built its reputation over decades, and it doesn't reflect reality when situations like this are misrepresented. I respect that management didn't bend the rules just to avoid conflict. They stood by their standards and treated the situation consistently, which is exactly what you want in a gym. At the end of the day, everyone pays the same membership fee. No one gets extra privileges at the expense of everyone else's experience. If you're looking for a gym that continues to invest in its members and maintains a respectful, serious training environment, this is exactly that place.

I…read morestarted my membership here in January 2025 after being tired of the commercial gyms not having the variety of equipment I would like to use and people hogging machines just to be on their phones. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the owner Sharon and given a tour. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, The history behind the gym and love everyone had for it. It was clear to me this wasn't just a gym it was a community. The gym members and staff have welcomed me with open arms and after more than a year here I have not gone back to any other gym and now call this my second home. They have a variety of different equipment, cardio machines and even a posing room. I always recommend this gym to anyone I know. The staff here is excellent and they work hard on maintaining the gym standards, cleanliness, and keeping the machines in working order. This place has anything you'll need to take your fitness journey to the next level. If you're thinking of switching to a new gym I recommend giving this one a try

But that's also the reason Brit is great. I have young kids and I don't have a lot of time to be in the gym or think about my program. Brit makes the programs easy to follow and understand. Through her app, everything is laid out for me. I don't even have to think about it until I get into the gym that day. Every week is scheduled in advance. She checks in routinely and is regularly asking for feedback on how the workouts are going. There is also a level of accountability which I love. Brit really is a champion and a motivator--even from a distance.

From the time I moved to Chicago to getting in shape for my wedding, this place has been part of my life. After a major surgery (a myomectomy to remove a large fibroid), I struggled both physically and mentally. When I returned, I weighed 165 pounds and felt very weak. The Fit Results team met me exactly where I was. They customized a program for me through semi-private training, supported me with nutrition guidance, and helped me rebuild my strength safely. Because of this support, I'm now down to 149 pounds, stronger than ever (from squatting 15 lbs to 125 lbs), off my diabetes medication, and no longer a candidate for cholesterol medication. Group classes are fun & challenging, but if you're recovering from surgery or dealing with cyclical weight changes, I highly recommend personal or semi-private training. Be transparent, they will help you achieve your goals! No judgement! Huge shout-out to the owner AND every trainer at Fit Results--they are all incredibly skilled and truly know how to support you no matter where you are in your fitness journey. #STARTNOW #GETFIT

I had never worked with a personal trainer before, and was a bit intimidated, but Dave was really friendly on my initial call with him and not salesy at all. I was assigned to Eric-Todd and had a great experience. I learned how to do workouts that I was afraid to do on my own before, and was introduced to a wide variety of exercises, including using the cable machine, leg exercises using my own body weight, kettlebell, medicine ball, TRX, etc. Over the course of a month, we never repeated a single exercise! I've tried cycling, running, mat pilates, barre, boxing, weightlifting, and some other types of classes offered. The instructors I worked with were genuinely nice and friendly people who care about their participants and make you comfortable. I have taken many classes for pilates, barre, and METCON with Andrea Rubenstein, Bonnie Bushnell, and Lia Montelongo. They have great energy and cueing, and have a loyal following as a result. If you have access to the other Equinox gyms in Chicago, you will likely see them at the other gyms as well. They also keep you in the loop with online ads and updates about special offers, which is helpful if you're considering a membership. On the downside, the staff seemed pretty busy, so it was a bit hard to get help when needed. The locker rooms and bathrooms also felt crowded, and the lockers could be bigger, but you can still manage to fit your things if you pack smart.
