They told me that the ring needed another coat of rhodium because the white gold was starting to yellow a bit. They offered to fix the prong, do the rhodium, and clean the whole thing up in the process, for $145. My ring looks great! I don't know how much of the cost was prong vs rhodium, but I was happy with the results and will go back for further service since my usual dude retired.

When I asked for it to be cleaned they saw it as another job and wanted to charge me an additional fee! The girl behind the counter first said she couldn't see the glue that was clearly there and then followed up with "when you work with glue it smears". When I said "yes it can smear but then you clean it" she said they would clean it for an additional fee. They charged me $51.75 for crappy workmanship and a battery change. Ridiculous! This is the real deal when it comes to jewelry. I have been dealing with these fine people for…read morealmost 2 decades. They love what they are doing, their knowledge is impressive and they give excellent customer service pre and post purchase. I have always gone to them by appointment, but it's super easy to setup. They are able to fully breakdown stereotypes, and I never felt that often sleaze factor experienced at shopping mall jewelry stores with tacky signage of 80% off. They don't operate with heavy marketing budgets, over the top aesthetics like say Tiffany's or Birks so they do not pass on the extra fluff to the customers. I'm a price conscious customer but I will spend more on quality products AND quality people/service. We had looked at many options in Montreal for engagement ring and later on wedding bands. We were impressed how design and quality was up to par and sometimes exceeded leadings competitors, whilst often at a significantly lower cost. Especially if you have experienced jewelry fatigue from window shopping, this is the place for you. Ultimately, the products are great and customer service is superior. When it comes to purchasing gems and Jewelry, I trust no one other than Morris and the team at IMPORTEX. They know what they are doing.

They pay attention to every single detail so you can design any piece of jewelry, with every single detail you want. And last but not least, the customer service is impeccable. Everyone is so sweet and helpful, they actually care about their clients. You will feel at home here. I usually don't leave reviews, but I wanted to take the time and give me feedback for Importex because they deserve it. They are the best!
