Over the years, I've had several items repaired there. They are competent, honest, reasonably…read morepriced. They really do fix practically anything. If I'd listened to other people's advice, I would have bought a new tv over 10 years ago, I would have replaced my digital thermometer, bought a new coffee maker etc., got a new turntable. With regards to my turntable that is about 40 years old, I asked him if I would be better off buying one of those that he had on display, and he told me that mine was better, explained what features made it better, and that he would call be with an estimate. He did so the next day, and the repair was very inexpensive. If you want your items to last as long as possible, and not create more junk for the trash piles of the planet, getting things fixed is definitely better. He'll tell you if it's not worth repairing, and the estimate is free (in my experience).

I brought my swatch in to change the battery, it was working that morning. the woman tests the…read morebattery and indeed it was dead. Spends some time behind the counter with the watch, is friendly and talks quite a bit. Then adds the new battery and the watch still doesn't work. She shows me that the battery is fully charged on the machine. Nothing to be done it seems. I come home to look at it and the metal connection between the watch and battery is not there. I go back two days later to ask if she noticed anything missing or metal that had fallen - she denies seeing anything other than some dust or having used anything other than a duster. I have had the watch for 5 years, changed the battery at swatch stores 3-4 times and there had never been an issue noted to me regarding corrosion or anything. The contact between the watch and battery was present that morning since I happened to see it's last tick. I believe that she removed the metal to force me to purchase a new watch at her store.

Without so much as a smile or hello, one young man walked over and plainly said, "I'm busy, she'll help you" pointing to his colleague. She then sighed, looked at me up and down and said "YES!?" I responded" Hi, I'm just wondering how much it would cost to please replace my existing watch strap with this one?" After sighing again, her disinterested response was "$10 plus tax". The people who work at this The Time Shop location need serious customer service training. Montreal is notorious for bad customer service, but this takes it to new lows! Advice: Take your watch elsewhere for service. Why?: Because no one deserves bad service from arrogant people.
