The remodel included a heated floor system, that all documentation said was to be connected to 120 volt circuit. Unfortunately, their electrical team installed it on a 220 volt circuit. We didn't find this out until a few years later when the thermostat failed, and a manufacturers rep diagnosed the problem. Fortunately only the thermostat failed although according to the manufacturer the floor elements could have also failed do to the over voltage situation. When DB Atlanta was first notified they indicated they would be willing to work with us to correct the problem, but eventually refused to return our phone calls, refused to answer a complaint filed with the BBB, and refused to respond to a letter from our attorney. We have more projects in future but would never again use DB Atlanta, nor could we recommend them.

We recently finished our major home renovation with TCW homes. We added on a huge new kitchen,…read moremaster suite, an office, a huge two-car garage, and two-car driveway. It is pretty awesome, to say the least. So, let me start my review from the very beginning of my experience with TCW. I called Todd, the general contractor, on a Sunday evening expecting to get voicemail, however, he answered the phone and talked to me while at a Braves game. Todd promptly returned my call the next day and scheduled an appointment with me and the hubs on a weekday evening to accommodate our schedule. He met with us in the evenings several times for months before our project began, which definitely helped gain our confidence in him and his team. Before the project began, Todd was very clear in the pricing. He gave us a spreadsheet with an itemized list of services, materials, and prices, which also included allowances for certain materials we were able to choose such as tile, granite, cabinets. The allowances were pretty spot on. I believe I was a couple of hundred dollars under budget on all my allowances. He assured me several times the final price would not increase unless there were unforeseen issues with the house that needed repair, or if I added more work to the project, or if I went over my allowances. There were only two issues with the house that needed repair outside the original job description, and they promptly informed of the issues with the pricing. Communication was not an issue from the first phone call with Todd to the present. Todd and everyone on his team were almost immediately responsive at all hours of the day and night, as late as 11pm. Everyone showed up for meetings at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time, responded to texts within minutes, etc. Going into this renovation I was advised from friends and family to just sell the house and find a better one. Everyone told me that contractors were all the same--crooks, dishonest, looking to cut corners, use the cheapest materials, overcharges, never responds to your calls, etc. Well, I decided to take a leap of faith with TCW homes and so far I'm glad I did. I didn't have any major issues with anyone on the TCW team. Any issue that came up was worked out fairly easily. They kept their word in regards to pricing. In regards to honesty, TCW fixed damages that I didn't even notice or expected them to fix. Everyone, contractors and subcontractors, were so nice that it was hard to complain about anything. My kitchen is beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. My master bedroom and bathroom are both beautiful. Everything turned out pretty awesome, and my family and I are enjoying our "new" house very much. Thank you TCW homes!

I was looking to have hardwood floors (previously purchased at a flooring warehouse) installed in my home along with a few heavy lifting projects around my house (door replacements, light fixtures, drywall repair). I had been getting estimates for weeks and received a variety of answers from "we can't use this material, you have to buy from us or we can't install" to "your drywall just needs a good scrape and paint, it should be fine" (which was not true since it had giant bits of TAR on it from a mirror and some pretty extensive dings in the drywall underneath). In comes Home-Aid Home Repair to the rescue. Mike came over within 2 days of me emailing him and gave me a written estimate the next day - which was also a holiday. Color me impressed! Price-wise, he was less than some of the other estimates I'd received and he also took the time to explain to me why certain things were possible with my materials and exactly what he was going to need to purchase to complete the project. I knew that I wanted to work with someone I trusted and who would "keep it real" with me throughout the process and he was all that and more. I confirmed him to work on my place right away. He and his crew showed up the following Monday on time (they even called in advance to say they were on their way) and they worked for 3 days to give my place a total facelift. They were up front about my displacement (they had to re-pour concrete which meant my dog and I had to find alternative housing, which was no big deal since they told me in advance) and also walked me through the whole process of what they were planning to do and how, along with the materials they were planning on using. I visited the site every day (not because I was checking in, but because I ran out of clothes/forgot things at my house) and they were working away every time! They were always exceedingly cordial and always called me "Miss" when I would arrive at my house. In the end, it ended up taking them 3 days to complete the job when he initially predicted it would take 4. The floors looked beautiful and he and his crew put everything back where it belonged as well as cleaned up after the construction mess. He also provided copies of the receipts for everything he purchased (no upcharging on materials!) By the end of the third day and they'd left, I just sat in my condo in total awe of the work that they'd done and how amazing my place looked. All-in-all, Mike and his crew are the diamond standard of home renovations and once my list of things to work on builds up a bit more, I have no hesitation in hiring him again for all of my home repair needs.

Imagination stepped up to finish the work and what a difference! They had many "work around" situations that had to be repaired and were able to fix things without having to tear everything out and start over. The daily site supervision kept everything flowing smoothly and moving forward so they were even able to finish ahead of schedule. When needed, Cameron and Ray both jumped in to do work themselves. They treated our home like their own. The quality of their work was outstanding and at the end of the job, Cameron stopped by to make sure we were completely satisfied. Definitely a class act company and we highly recommend using them!
