I recently used Property Action to replace the brick front porch on my 100 year old home in Virginia-Highland, which was in a poor state of disrepair. The floor was terribly sloped, and the foundation was sinking. I had gathered a handful of quotes from other contractors, each of which proposed merely stabilizing the existing structure and making minor cosmetic improvements. That approach would have addressed the safety concerns without improving the appearance. Russell came out and quickly converged on a completely different approach of removing the existing porch completely and replacing it from the foundation up. None of the other contractors even mentioned that option, as it required stabilizing a room above while the underlying structure was under construction. Notably, the quote from Property Action was the same as the other options, which was surprising as replacing the porch required all new materials (brick isn't cheap). I ended up with a completely new porch that is perfectly level, structural sound, and aesthetically perfect for no more money that it would have cost to band-aid the ugly old structure and leave it looking ugly. read more

I had a very difficult project that they tackled easily and completed promptly all while doing an exceptional job. The work required precision and careful carpentry around mounting an oil painting on specialty tracks over a fireplace.
