This was a wonderful dining experience - from the food to the ambiance (to the amazing bathrooms!)…read moreto the friendly staff - I can't say enough about this place. My girlfriend & I were visiting Berlin for the first time and we were wandering around after visiting Fotografiska Berlin when we came across this place. As soon as we walked in, I knew by the delicious smells that we were in for a treat. We ordered Estragon/Pear to drink - wow! It was so perfect to balance the meal. They gave us delicious pickles to start. We ordered Khachapuri Adjarian With Tuna & Egg. The bread was heavenly. We didn't know what we were getting when we ordered it with tuna, but we were so glad that we did. It was perfectly savory and delicious and the texture and flavors melded together so perfectly. We also had the Kin-Za Special Lamb & Beef Kebab - hands down the most uniquely and perfectly-spiced kebab I've ever had. we also had the Spinach and Cheese Dumplings. They were delicious but a little too heavy since we lit into everything else so fast. First of all, we didn't expect nearly as much food as we got. We couldn't finish! The food was perfectly spiced, not too heavy, and perfect for a drizzly October afternoon. We had a lovely conversation with the young woman who brought us our food. She was so friendly. I can't say anything about the ambiance, though - just go and experience it for yourself!

Kin-Za is a Georgian restaurant in Mitte…read more Berlin has several Georgian restaurants - not just Kin-Za. You can probably do better at some of the others. I love Caucasus food - but Kin-Za left me pretty flat. The food IS filling be there no doubt about that. Think carefully before you get an appetizer and a main course Because both of those are full meals. I had Soko which are mushrooms stuffed with cheese. These felt like the appetizers that might be passed at a catered wedding. They were solid but not much more than that. Khachapuri - baked turnovers that are one of their featured dishes Were less interesting than the mushrooms. On the plus side, They serve Chacha, which is Georgian brandy, made from grape leavings rather than the grapes themselves. I am guessing they serve popular everyday brands here, But popular everyday chacha is just fine. I drowned my sorrows in brandy, and left happy enough.
