One thing I will warn is this summer has been a high rattlesnake year probably because of the construction nearby. I've heard of two bites and we had an encounter with one last week. I will definitely go because it's still my favorite but taking a short break while rattlesnake season is high. It's a beautiful park though so I hope you check it out at some point.

It is not overly big but there are a couple of water stations and trash cans with poop bags. My dogs don't really play or run much here. Important things: Always watch your dog and know where they are at all times! Always pick up your dogs poop! There is a smaller parking lot across the street from park with a short walk to park. Always keep your dog leashed walking to and from park. Redstone park is extremely busy especially in the summer, the parking lot is small and very busy.

If you want to walk, you can follow the packed sand circling the edge. It does get hot here but the canopies make it doable. There is also water and doggie bags with garbage containers.

Bike Park review:…read more Not many parks are big enough for a dirt bike area but thankfully Bayou Gulch is! There are 3 bike areas, beginner, intermediate and advanced. All 3 have obstacles, hills, bridges etc. Kids of all ages and adults could spend many an hour here. I would highly recommend. Negative: there are almost no trees, so in the summer it would be super hot. Notes: the bike park is not in the same area as the playground and baseball fields (I got lost) so double check directions if you haven't gone before. There is a covered table area and a port a potty at the parking lot area. The bike trails are a short walk from the parking lot. Dogs are allowed just leashed at all times.

There are also benches throughout park plus some dog agility equipment. Important things: There are several trash cans throughout however, the poop bag containers are "bring some to share" meaning there may not be poop bags available all the time. Definitely bring your own. Several people bring bowls and water to share but I would recommend bringing your own. There is a separate small dog area too.

This is not a dog park. This is nature. Nature where your dog gets to roam free…read more Seriously blown away by this dog park. A true hidden gem in the Colorado Springs area. Took my little, crazy puppy there this weekend, and was blown away by all the trees and pathways you could take within the dog park (let alone the full park). As someone that loves to take her dog on long hikes in the middle of nowhere and allow him to run free (when no one is around and there are no leash laws), this park gave me the perfect place to take him when I can't drive a few hours for one of our solitude hikes but I still want him to run free in nature. All the dogs are great, and due to how big the park is, no dog showed signs of being territorial.
