To provide some context, in December of 2022, our daughter's first grade teachers summoned us for a conference to discuss her progress with ELA and Mathematics. At this point in time, they were very concerned that she was not performing at grade level and even attempted to hand us a packet for special education to consider it for our daughter. We decided to push back, asked for six months to work with her and tutors before proceeding down that path. We first attempted Varsity tutors, but it just did not meet our needs. Then we found Ms. Payton and Mrs. Anu, and something magical happened. Within a few sessions, her teachers started making comments about her wonderful progress. By March 2023 (the date we set for a follow-up on her progress), her teachers could not stop raving about her progress. Fast forward to her final conference in June, and she surpassed all of their expectations and is now on track to be ready for second grade.
