Erin is kind and compassionate and worked with our daughter to help her identify a solid list of schools. From there, she was a great guide - putting in place a system to keep our daughter on track with applications, essays, and all that is required to put a solid application together. As decisions come in, Erin has been a thoughtful sounding board - helping navigate choices, giving well-received advice, and sharing her own ideas. Bottom line - she is great. It was an investment that we would make again and recommend to others. We have a younger son, and I look forward to working with Erin when the time comes. The only thing I would do differently is reach out to her earlier....probably sometime in the junior year. Note - I am writing this as our daughter is in the midst of the process, and I think that is the right time to write this. The review is not meant to suggest that Erin is a guarantee to any school, or that is even what is best for a kid. Rather, she is a great counsellor through the process, helping her students self-identify the right fits, and there are many, through the process, a word I used a lot here. Maybe a kid writing a college essay would find a better synonym, but I already went to college (!) and it fits. It is a process - it takes time, patience, and trust. Drove my daughter 30 miles to take an 8:00 am exam at Prometric test center. They have a nice…read morewaiting area and lobby in a beautiful building. I was promptly kicked out of the waiting area because they said they do not allow guests to wait for their families due to security reasons. When asked whether I could take one of their 20+ chairs into the building lobby (void of all seating), I was turned down. The policies here are rude and obnoxious. I decided to sit down on the floor with my back against the large open window to the lobby.

When asked if my test went through, they accused me of trying to retake the test. They gave me a number to call and get it straightened out. They refuse to answer any questions. Since colleges take either one, it would be advantageous to take the one that the student scores better on. So based on this diagnostic, my son did better on the SAT which wasn't a total surprise to us. All this service is free. They do offer several options in improving your scores. They offer group help or individual tutoring. Looks like there are many options and pricing options. What I like about their service (other than test help) is that all their service is designed around the actual test dates. Also, they teach strategies on taking the test, which I'm almost certain will help my son. We were told average score increase for their students are around 150 points on the SAT. Some higher and some lower. Needless to say, my son is signed up for their program. I am very optimistic about this business helping my son perform his best.
