After that, the person I talked with was not sure why I was there and none of the papers were prepped and they did not have any information that I had filled out on their website. Once the tour started, the individual giving the tour didn't even take out her Apple earbud which I found extremely rude. I am not sure if she didn't realize that I saw, as she had her hair down. However, I am a middle school teacher and can spot those things from the other side of the room. She knew that their Quality First scholarships had been given out, but was not confident on whether or not there was a waitlist for the scholarships. I was really excited to tour here and was hopeful that my daughter may be able to attend here if they had a scholarship available, since the cost is very high and we cannot afford it without a scholarship. Definitely too high for what I saw. However, I was extremely disappointed in almost every aspect of the tour. They were within the state numbers for ratio, so that is why I gave them a two instead of a one.

As soon as you walk inside, everyone greets you in a calm, caring, and JOYFUL manner. The campus itself is super cute and set up very classroom style, which I think is a positive experience for young kids all of the kids and teachers were fully engaged and so happy. They also have a community area for kids to eat lunch to get them used to cafeteria style, which I thought was super cool and their meals are on the healthier side compared to most childcare centers. They additionally have some extracurriculars that you can pay extra for like dance or art for about $10 additional a week. They are on the slightly more expensive side, but honestly very reasonable in comparison to other childcare centers in the valley. If it was a little bit closer to our house or in a more convenient location, we would be sending our children here.

I saw one teacher not being very patient or friendly with a child and later she was moved out to help with other activities (thank god). Another younger teacher would stomp past us and not even smile as if she hated us and her job. I understand my son made friends with a boy who seemed to be a troublemaker so he was difficult but the way the school handled it was by putting him up front in time out nearly everyday, and the teacher accosting me and telling me that he needs assessments as if he's special needs and then moving him down to half days only. I left in tears one day because of the way the teacher treated me. We transferred to the Scottsdale School and my son is thriving ! He has been learning SO much, the teachers have been there for years so they don't have a high turnover rate and my son loves going. I feel great dropping him off and they all love my son and he's super popular in school. We have had ZERO issues there. I do realize other people have good experiences here but I just always felt super off and stressed dropping my son off at this daycare. This daycare seemed to have a negative attitude towards my son (which may have been justified because of negative influences) which made for a somewhat threatening environment for him. Just know if a daycare is not working out then you can always find a better environment for your child. Young children are very influenced by other kids in the class so getting them into a different school may be appropriate.

I would suggest you to do your due diligence; We are in 2017 and those negative reviews were a couple years ago. however I feel like I should share. I'm a mother of three kids and I have seen several different types of schools, preschools and daycare's. I pay attention when I walk around and what's going on and look at everyone in each classroom and here at Kindercare they're all doing their job. As a parent we know we're not always smiling with our own kids daily--we can't expect the teachers always to. As long as they're kind that's all that matters. The reviews below look like someone caught someone on a rough day I don't know anything about them making a Child "cry when it was smiling" but I can say I've been disciplining my children before and they were smiling while I was doing, sometimes a smile is ones way to say they're uncomfortable so we don't know all sides. Most importantly I feel like each one of my children's teachers: ms. Lauren, ms. Marie and especially Ms. Alyssa-who's always smiling and taking her time to chat with us are amazing. Kylee the director and co director Samantha have all gone out of their way to be kind. I'm telling you to do the due diligence and see for yourself because I'm very pleased!
