An Absolutely Fantastic Math Experience! I can honestly say this has been one of the most engaging and effective math classes I've ever taken. From day one, the instructor created a truly supportive and encouraging environment that made even the most challenging concepts feel approachable read more

I brought my son in for an evaluation test two weeks ago. The location seemed nice and wasn't too crowded at 3;30. However as an hour went by there were many more students and only 3 or 4 tutors for over 20 children. Not a great ratio and most students were just doing work on their own. As we finished our evaluation, the director had left for the day. I was told by a rotor that they would grade his test and that the director would contact me. However I never got any follow up from the director. I got ghosted by a business I was going to spend money with. That plus the unbalanced ratio of tutor to student is the reason for giving this location a low review score. read more

Our daughter during COVID joined Mathnasium at Redmond, WA. She was motivated to attend and started working harder when their reward system was introduced to her, the staff was incredible supportive all the time. Now she can't wait to earn points so she can save for some cool items. She was proud of herself every time she completed the math work and understood the importance of doing and learning all the concepts correctly as instructed. She is directed to redo any work she does incorrectly and is starting to grasp some ideas she hadn't understood before. The management went beyond expectations, I would recommend this program and facility 100% read more

Mathnasium - Tutoring Centers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I was hesitant to do this because the cost is a little expensive BUT it is well worth it! My child and a bunch of her friends (all second graders) go here, and she feels like this is a play date. I thought that would be distracting, but Franky makes sure the kids are head down into their work. Chris has a very chill attitude and the kids just love him. Ultimately, sending my child here has instilled a LOVE for math in her. I couldn't believe it, but I'm so happy to find her eager to go almost every day. read more

There are a lot of technical issues. Tutors get disconnected often in the middle of a lesson and fall off the grid. Very frustrating.

My son's been going here for over a month now, and I have already seen a huge improvement in his attitude towards math. The instructors are warm and friendly, and the environment is bright and cheery. It's heartening to see him so excited about studying a subject he used to dread. read more

All the tutors here really care--I mean, really care. My son had a huge entrance exam coming up and the tutors and managers gave him extra time and helped him with work that differed from the Mathnasium curriculum but which he needed for his exam. They are thorough and focused and have helped my son gain a new confidence in math. His elementary school teacher noticed that my son speaks up more during math hour and participates more in the discussions and demonstrates the fundamentals and calculations with more clarity than he did the months prior to his Mathnasium sessions. He wanted to do another math session the day AFTER his grueling exam. He feels safe and happy at Mathnasium and enjoys the atmosphere here. Imagine your child wanting to come do more math the day after a 3-hour exam! We try to come 3 days a week and even 4 or 5 times when he was prepping for his exam. It would be great if Saturdays were available too because sometimes during the week, it's difficult to make the afternoons with so much going on. Maybe Saturday mornings will be available soon. read more

I thank Mathnasium for helping my daughter to improve her grades a big time and I refer Mathnasium to all my friends and family who may need help in math. read more

My son Nathan (3rd grade) began at Mathnasium about 4 months ago. He took to it right away and has remained enthusiastic. We go 2-3x/week and it's improved his speeded math processing as well as his confidence. He's motivated by the star cards they offer, which he can use towards little rewards. The staff, led by Dan, is friendly, professional, and responsive. We have referred others to this location as well. read more

Our first grader daughter started Mathnasium at this location couple of months ago. She has started becoming comfortable with mental math as opposed to counting fingers. Over the last three years, my daughter began attendng MAthnasium of Westwood. It all started when her 6th grade math teacher refused to explain key concepts to the class and didn't want the students to ask questions. With this teacher's attitude came my daughter's new attitude: "I HATE MATH!" One day at work after passing down Mathnasium of W I called and made an appointment for the same afternoon. We met the Director, he gave her a placement test and from then on we were hooked! She finally was able to ask questions, and not feel bad doing so. The staff are fantastic, patient and they listen...now my daughter is in 9th grade and is in Honors Geometry...she loves math. If you have a child that needs some extra help or wants to truly understand the math they are teaching in schools DO NOT HESITATE--TAKE ACTION....stop by the MATH of Westwood and see Greg and the FABULOUS Staff! You won't ever regret it. WE don't! Maria W. A Very Happy Parent read more

This place is amazing. My son first started going here 2 years ago and was not a very good student in Math. Within a couple of months, we noticed a marked improvement in his performance and now he pretty much gets almost a 100% on all math tests. First Chris and now Dan are super attentive and run the center so efficiently. They tailor the instruction based on your child's needs, like focusing on an upcoming test prep or homework help. The instructors are fun and dynamic. My son loves this place and the results speak for themselves. read more

We were a bit reluctant to have our kids go through math sessions during the summer months after a challenging private school year for our son and daughter. However, we spoke with Chris who was very down to earth and laid out a great program for our kids. I can say with confidence that Mathnasium was as enjoyable an experience for our kids as could be expected. The way Chris and the staff were able to keep our kids interested while working through the various math concepts was nothing short of remarkable. They are more confident and prepared thanks to Mathnasium. read more

I don't like the way they teach you math. It is as if you don't even have anybody there with you and trying to help you. Not good...

My daughter loves Mathnasium! They created a customized learning plan to her needs and she loves working on topics she has struggled with this year. In school they don't focus on mastery of topics and instead move too quickly without making sure the child has a deep understanding. At Mathnasium they make sure she has mastered something before moving on. The staff is great and my daughter loves all of the instructors. They have a flexible drop-in schedule, so you just pay for the month and come in whenever it fits into your schedule. I couldn't be happier and can already see the improvement in my daughter's confidence! read more

My daughter has struggled with math for quite some time. While working with Chris and his staff at Westwood Mathnasium, my daughter has grown in confidence and is starting to understand math fundamentals. For those with kids that seem to 'hate' math, they even have a rewards system that encourages kids to achieve certain goals. It definitely created some excitement for my daughter in attending classes. I would definitely recommend this Mathnasium to those that might be on the fence. read more
