Basically this is a scam and a "drop off" after school program. In response to knight: When I spoke with Knight he stated "she actually did worse than her first score(assessment)" I'm not sure where those testing scores below came from but they are not accurate. According to Knight my daughter wasn't doing well. Is my daughter doing well or not? This place is a scam don't waste your money or time. My major concerns: *many occasions there were more than 5 students in a tutoring setting session * My daughter stated she was typically in a group doing her own homework or was sat on an iPad to do math problems. Basically her "touring" was when she had a question, someone walked over to her to "assist". *Group tutors are teenagers The communication within the origination is terrible. I dropped off my daughter for an amassment (at my request) and no one gave my daughter the assessment. I had to take time off work and drop her off another day to take the assessment. My 5th grader spent countless hours in "tutoring" group sessions which were never logged. They never fingerprinted my daughter so there is no record of her attendance. When I asked for an assessment I was told to wait. I knew in my gut she needs to be reassessed to see if the group setting was working. My daughter took her 2nd assessment upon my request to see where she is at with her math and she scored lower than her first assessment. So what this says is that the group setting did not work and I wasted time and money because she was never given any assessment to see if it was really working. You do not receive any updates of your child's progression. They do not work with teachers even if you give each party permission to speak to one another. I was given a learning plan but there were no real goals with deadlines just items to focus on. This is a total JOKE and a waste of time. I suggest not to allow your child to attend here.

I have two kids in this school. My oldest, who is just about to enter 6th grade, has been going to…read morethis school since Kindergarten. I think some things have definitely improved over the years, such as pick-up and drop-off (which used to be a total nightmare), and it seems that they've slowly started making improvements to the bathrooms and some exterior parts of the school, like the sidewalks. However, I feel this school could benefit from investing more money into fixing up the playgrounds, classrooms, and overall infrastructure of the school. The playgrounds are pretty old and run-down. The classrooms are very dated. Some of the classrooms have plumbing issues and a huge problem with ants. The teachers and staff members are wonderful, but at times I am not sure if what my kids are learning is up to par with other schools. The before/after program (PRIDE) is not great... my kids were enrolled in it this past school year and they originally stated they would watch the kids on all of the breaks (fall, spring, etc.) except winter break, but then right before fall break they completely bailed on the parents. Some of the teachers in the before/after programs are too lenient and the snacks they pass out are not healthy. One day my kids had several small boxes of TRIX cereal. This should not be an acceptable snack to feed children, especially in the afternoons when they will likely be eating dinner within a couple of hours. My biggest problem with the school is the grading system. Instead of the usual A, B, C, D, F, this school uses a 1-4 grade scale, which does not tell me much... and this has been one of my biggest issues with this school (and the district itself, since it's throughout the entire school district) since my oldest started going here. Another big problem I have is that they do not release a school supply list until about a week before school starts, during Meet The Teacher Night, but last year we didn't get it until the NIGHT before school. I think this is very inconvenient because by the time we get the school supply list, a lot of the stuff is already out of stock at the stores. Last year I had a hard time finding the right type of folders for my daughters, which was frustrating. So those are definitely some things the school could afford to improve upon... also, a no tolerance policy for bullying and delinquent behavior. It seems like the kids are not punished as severely as they should be when causing harm to other students. My oldest daughter told me that a boy in her grade started a fight with another boy on a field trip a few months ago, and even called the other boy the "N" word, and he was still able to attend the school. He even called one of the teachers the "B" word. This type of behavior should not be acceptable. Areas where the school is meeting/exceeding my expectations would be the teachers and staff. I have been mostly happy with my kids' teachers, the ladies in the office, and Mrs. Helland. I like that they still have parties in celebration of certain holidays, because I remember having class parties as a child and found it super memorable. The 5th graders had a ballroom dance competition this past school year, which was super fun. I would like to see more events like this. Pick-up/drop-off is also a breeze now, for the most part. It is so much faster than it used to be. I really appreciate that the staff takes the time to ensure a smooth process. Overall, I would say this is an okay school, and one of the better public schools in the area from what I've seen.

I sent a follow up email and got no response. I gave it a few more days then when I tried to call about the issue on a Friday afternoon my call went to voicemail. 7 times. It is VERY strange for a daycare to not answer in the middle of a Friday so that's when I realized they were avoiding me. After blocking my number I was able to get a hold of someone who told me to contact the director. I tried to email director for a simple question of "Am I owed a refund or not?" and it bounced back which has never happened to my emails to them before. Based off all this I would not recommend this company to anyone I know.

This is a review for Knight Academy management - we've heard the teachers who run the before and…read moreafter school programs are lovely. Our experience with Knight Academy has been abysmal. Knight Academy notified TOPA parents of a spring break camp on 3/2 with spring break starting on 3/6. That should have been the first red flag. But we signed our daughter up thinking it would be fun for her to hang out with her classmates at Knight Academy on her campus during the week-long spring break camp. The spring break camp confirmation email was riddled with spelling errors and conflicting information about where the camp would be held. Pretty sketchy coming from an "educational academy". Second red flag. Then on Sunday morning - the day before the first day of spring break camp -we get an email that camp had been cancelled due to lack of registrations. What did they think would happen when they notify parents four days before camp begins that there's even going to be a camp?? Third red flag. Their camp cancellation notice also stated that refunds had been processed and would be received in 5-7 business days. We're on business day 19 and still haven't received a refund. Four red flags now... The icing on the cake and the fifth and final red flag was the additional notification we received through their payment system - Active Advantage - that we had been signed up for a MONTHLY Active.com membership for $89.95 that we did not agree to (google active advantage membership scam if you want details). Thus ensued a way too complicated series of emails to Active Advantage's customer service department demanding that the membership we "agreed to" be canceled. Turns out the "join" button is pre-selected "yes" when you check out. If you don't catch it and de-select you're in for a fun ride and out $90/month. Pretty gross business practice IMHO. Avoid this place unless you have no alternatives. As stated at the top - we've heard wonderful things about the teachers but management at Knight Academy needs to get it together if they want to be taken seriously as an "educational academy".
