We have had a really great experience with Mathnasium in Glendora. From day one, everything was explained clearly to us -- how the program works, what progress to expect, and how our kids would be supported along the way. That transparency made a big difference for us as parents. A special mention to Moses, who leads the center. He is extremely humble, patient, and takes the time to explain things in detail. He has also been incredibly flexible with scheduling. Anytime we needed to reschedule or asked for extra help, he was more than accommodating. He even offered makeup classes over the weekend, which we truly appreciated. The teachers are amazing. My son has been with mathnasium for a little over year now. It took some time and slowly but surely we started to see improvements in his math. It's still a work in progress but the improvements are there and it's showing in his math testing. The center does a pretty good job of keeping you updated on their progress via emails and phone. If he falls behind required pages, they'll make me aware and work with him to get back up to speed. Additionally they will call me from time to time to see if I have any questions or concerns. When we first started, my main goal was to help my daughter get comfortable with math and solving problems. She has ADHD, a short attention span, and has never liked math, so convincing her to try Mathnasium was not easy AT ALL! Moses has been amazing from day one. He's patient, listens to us, and knows how to encourage her when she loses focus. That really helps keep her motivated. The point system is a big hit too -- she likes earning points and choosing small rewards, which helps her stay engaged and complete her work. We've been going for 3 months. She still doesn't love math :D, but she doesn't fight going anymore! her grades are improving, and she understands the concepts better! The first year here was fine, but the second year was a waste of money. After new management took over, staff stopped paying attention to the kids and the center become crowded . My daughter was only doing 1-2 pages per session instead of the 10 promised after her assessment , and the school graded 4 page of her homework 1 out of 4 which get checked at the center which clearly -- proof the center didn't even check the work she brought for help cuz last 15 min the kids can bring homework if they need help so when I told The manager my concern she was not unhelpful at all . So do you think fair I pay monthly touting to get only around 12 page to be done instead of average of 80 ?? . read more

AMAZING! Mathnasium just works. Exceptional in every way. Wanted to update our last review since we have been coming here for FOUR years. Mathnasium has been our primary schooling for Math for our kids. Our kids have very different learning styles and the instructors are kind, patient, and adaptive to each child. Bon, Sara, and each of the teachers really care about the kids and they respond by blossoming. Mathnasium really makes sure kids understand the concepts and move at their own pace. That can be much quicker than "regular" school. One of our children participated in an AOPS (Art of Problem Solving) camp last year geared for math-loving kids several grades older - our child was ALWAYS on top, beating out kids several years older every single day. (Btw - "winning" wasn't our goal or even what we strove for - it just happened). Our child also qualified for John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Program based upon our child's exceptionally high score in a standardized test. With that said, Mathnasium doesn't teach to a test, it teaches for knowledge acquisition which is our goal for our children. Our family is so grateful to Mathnasium. Even when we could not go in person due to Covid, they rapidly adapted to an online format. They also reopened in person with every safety precaution imaginable to make sure kids are safe. Mathnasium is a true blessing. They do an amazing job of helping kids learn and understand Math concepts and do it in an encouraging and positive way. Not every Math concept is "easy", but the instructors find a way to get the point across and help the kids understand and try in a way where they are not frustrated. There is no pressure to learn, so they have more fun learning. We have researched every possible Math program out there and Mathnasium is head and shoulders above the rest. My son started Mathnasium a month ago and I already see major improvements in his test scores, confidence and attitude. He enjoys the personal one on one tutoring and he appreciates the intelligence, attitudes, efficiency and helpfulness of all the staff. During this pandemic it feels important to me to make sure my son doesn't fall behind and has a healthy outlet to participate in that is productive. Mathnasium is the answer. The staff is diligent in cleaning and making sure no one comes in who is sick which gives me the comfort and confidence to drop off my son. They clean the tables, distance the kids, use masks and antibacterial gel and open door when possible. Bon is great at communicating what is going on and is available to answer questions and texts. I found them by accident. But, am I glad I did. I wish they were around when my kids were growing up. OR, when I was growing up. I was very weak in math, and getting math tutor one-on-one is the best help any student can get. Bon, (I think he was the manager, or director) was super helpful and very professional. So Bianca was NOT doing so well with 5th grade common core math bringing home nothing higher than a D and she was so down on herself. She lost confidence as well. Mathnasium has been a exceptional company for my son. He looks forward to coming in and learning the concepts he occasionally struggles with. The director runs a tremendously clean facility and has screening prior to students session along with social distancing. Back in April when everything had shutdown, Bon was gracious enough to suspend payment and hold our son's spot. My experience with signing up my son with Mathnasium was so quick and easy . This is my first time using a tutoring program for my son whose in 4th grade, so I came in not knowing what to expect.The owner went over everything in detail including pricing options. He made everything seem so easy. I especially love the flexibility of the days and times my son can go. So he started yesterday and they did an evaluation of his skills along with helping him with his nightly math homework. When I picked him up and asked him how it was he said, I LOVE IT! He said everyone is so nice and he loves the reward system they have to encourage his learning. My two girls were struggling with their AP Physics .I took them to Mathnasium hoping that somehow they would find light on how to analyze and understand problems that pertains to this subject that they find so difficult. Truly it was the best decision I have made so far in choosing a center that would guide them closely .Bon is a great teacher and made this subject easier for my girls to grasp with practical examples that made this subject interesting as opposed to being scary as it used to be . He gave them thorough explanation of problems that they find vague.The center environment is conducive for learning.He challenges my girls to think further and be able to find solutions to what used to be unanswered equations and problems in Physics. He also took time to give my other girl one to one instruction in AP calculus. I rarely give all 5 stars review but felt that I really can support why I am giving Mathnasium Glendora such high marks. My son had to retake a Math 2 Class at COHS this summer and it was a 3 weeks compact class. I found Mathnasium on Google and met with Bon (Director) on the same day I called him. I signed up my son for the summer special offering for 3 weeks. My son liked the learning environment and the teaching/support staff at the location. For the summer, there were usually 2 teaching staff members including Bon on site. So my son received the attention he needed. We were going 4-5 times a week. I can see that my son was understanding the concepts better and his confidence was also improving. As a result he was able to improve two letter grades to a "B" which was AWESOME. We will definitely look into having him return in the Fall if we can. read more

My daughter is in 3rd grade and has had a difficult time with math. We tried tutoring through the library and 2 different private tutors... She wasn't getting any better and did not like going. If anything she was getting frustrated because she thought it was more like punishment. We started going to Mathnasium about a month ago and I already notice a difference in her confidence/attitude when I ask her about math. She actually wants to go. It is such a wonderful feeling!
