An absolute must for a struggling student or better yet an achiever. My daughter has struggled with Math since 5th grade and at times failed the course throughout middle school. Here is the reality about this place 1. The old reviews are good but the new ones are not, at least some of them. The reviews on their site are all good because they send the request for review manually when you have a nice interaction with the manger. I noticed this in couple occasions and because I have a lot of concerns I waited until now about 9 months of sending my child there. The link expired after few days so you can't really do it at any time. 2. At time of enrollment the manager will tell you that she will work with your child and they consider differences and abilities but she does not do any of these and will never approach you to see what can help your child. She also will tell you that if she sees your child not doing well with some instructors she will make sure she assign them to the ones they work better with. This didn't happen until I had a lengthy meeting with her, during which she said she did assign my son to specific instructors, my son Said she never told him and he did that in front of her. Then it happened that I asked one of the instructors and he said he was not aware of that . And to prove this she did that for few days and then when I rechecked I found out my son assigned to different instructors by her assistant 3. When I asked to go over my son progress with her I found out he was doing only 2 pages over an hour instead of 10-15 pages. By the way my son grades in school are 85-90 in math I just sent him there to be better. I said whet is the problem? her answer was he was not motivated and when I asked my son he said he is just tiered and can not Focus for the whole hour so I suggested if she assigns him with certain number of pages like 6 or 7 to do over whatever time. When she did so he was finishing 7-10 pages over 20-30 min as he now knows that he does not have to stay for the whole hour. so you have to keep an eye and find solutions 4.When she is meeting with parents she talks loudly in front of other parents and students so don't be astonished if someone you know comes to you and says he heard your son have problems or anything, that's what happened with me 5.noisy place and children talking and laughing in a disruptive way. When the manger talks over the phone all the room can hear her voice. Not sure what is this environment. 6.if you have any concern be sure she will never admit any shortage but she will always blame your child 7.the good instructors left, I heard because of bad Management of the center, but not 100% sure about this just heard it from some parents 8.At some point, My son complained to me that he is bored because he keeps doing the same work over and over and he mastered those concepts, when I asked her she said that he changed the order of the papers in his folder and that is why he went long time without evaluation to advance him. This is lie. We do not take the folder home and he can't change the order in front of the instructors and she actually prints out the evaluations and does not put them in the folder. Why my son would change the order in the folder and ware his time and then complains about it. How it comes she didn't notice that he went very long duration without evaluation if she has a good system in place 9. She assigned my son work from a grade less than his grade and when I asked if they can work on his grade level she said she can assign some time for this but he still has to work in the binder as he has to do it by levels. Then I saw other children doing only their school work from their school books and other school materials. 10. I asked if they can work with my son on ISEE test preparation, she said yes. And after 2 months I discovered that they are working with him on middle level and he was supposed to be working on upper level and the way they did it: he goes over the questions from a book ,that's available on Amazone, and he answers the questions and then go over his answers by himself. They do not review or make sure that he understand a the concept. I was sitting inside the center and saw this my eyes. Imagine you pay money and wait for your child for an hour 3-4 times a week and then you discover that what he is doing can be done easily at home at your convenience To summarize: noisy, no willingness to work with the children, don't care about children progress waste of time and effort and I hope all the families sending heir children there will write their honest review about their experience there to save other families money and effort. read more
