Madeline is lovely and outgoing and immediately put my daughter at ease -- my daughter actually enjoyed their time together and came to look forward to it. The improvement in my daughter's math skills was quickly apparent but equally importantly, her self-confidence also soared. She made a huge difference in both my daughter's skills and confidence in math. She did an amazing job explaining concepts and various math skills and was able to break down problems to my daughter in a way that made sense to her. As a scientist myself, I was also happy to have a female role model for her. I highly recommend Madeleine and we will be using her for the upcoming school year as well.

I met with his teacher and she said he's one of the best in the class with their reading tests for comprehension. His spelling continues to improve as well. He's getting recognized by classmates for being intelligent. His general demeanor with school is relaxed and happy this year. It's such an enormous improvement since he began working with Elizabeth. I'm so grateful Elizabeth facilitated this growth. She's changed his school experience for the better. Took us about 9 months of diligently following her program and it's not only caught him up to grade level but launched him ahead. Well worth it!

My granddaughter was tutored by Ms. Patty beginning in Kindergarten because she struggled with making sense of letter sounds. She also had a harder time learning while sitting, so Ms. Patty created learning through movement "games" that engaged my granddaughter's learning style. Patty Barna challenged her in the warmest, most encouraging ways, making every challenge fun - and most importantly- successful. So successful that my granddaughter now, four years later, reads at the middle school/high school level and challenges herself constantly. I highly recommend Reading Remedy with Patty Barna. We're planning to use Ms. Patty again as a writing tutor. She has the gift of bringing out the best in the students she works with. Her decades of experience with students of varied abilities and learning styles coupled with her intuitive coaching and a great program are unbeatable. You'll be very happy with Reading Remedy and your kiddo will be happy and more confident as a student.. P.S. Both my granddaughters ask to visit Ms. Patty all the time.

Paula is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had and I've experienced 6 throughout high school and university. She explains the logic (or lack of logic) behind grammar very clearly. I have had questions about estar/ser and the subjunctive that other teachers have told me I would just have to "feel out" that Paula directly answered for me. The subjunctive feels way less intimidating to me now. I like that she explains some things in English to insure that the basic principles are understood but still gets me to speak at length in Spanish. She starts every class asking about my week and my plans which gets me to learn very practical vocabulary and conversation skills. I feel really comfortable speaking with her in Spanish. The other day I appropriately used the past subjunctive when speaking with a client--"¿Quisieras un arbol de Navidad?" I was really proud and would not have been able to do so confidently if it hadn't been for Paula. I highly recommend you take her classes.
