Overall 4 stars. I have been twice now I like this place alot! the staff is very nice here food is delicious, coffee of course is delicious too the vibe is laid back there alot of whites greys and gold looks pretty luxurious i also like the Egyptian writing on the walls the decor is pretty cool the seating area can be full sometimes and it can quickly get loud in there overall good place
Their drinks never disappoint and they always have such good presentation. Their place is very aesthetic. It can get busy here depending on the time of day so sometimes it's fine to get work done here but it's more of like a hangout spot. Service was good and the place is clean.

Had a lovely experience at Matari today! First time stopping in and there were no other customers at 9:30am on Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. We ordered two pistachio lattes and two little treats. Somewhat expensive but I will say everything tasted great! Our lattes looked beautiful and were delicious. We enjoyed them along with a lemon cake and a strawberry mouse pastry and not only were they adorable but they were so fresh. The place was relaxing and decor was minimal but everything was clean and so pretty inside. Looking forward to coming back and giving some other items a try!
I tried the Yemeni Latte and the Pistachio Latte here and both were solid coffee based drinks. The quality and the options here are great. This place has a nice aesthetic with green accents with the black and white. Pastries look great but didn't get to try them.

Came here for some pastries. We got our order to-go and the server but in the wrong cheesecake slices. Desserts were just ok, nothing special or amazing about them. Plenty of indoor seating, quiet and nice interior.
Stopped by for a warm drink after a heavy dinner. I ordered the Matari Chai Latte. I was unaware it came with pistachios as a garnish on top of the drink. It's not listed on the menu either. After alerting the staff of my allergy they remade the drink for me without the garnish. It was really good! I apologized for not disclosing my allergy and they also apologized for not alerting me of the garnish. Very nice people. The layout of the entire place is very trendy and has a high-end vibe to it. But it's still really comfortable. Great for coffee or tea with friends.
Came here on a weekend to catch up on some work. The inside was clean and spacious. A couple plugs along the side on the wall. I got the Yemeni latte which had a nice balance of spice from the cardamom and nutmeg. Ambiance was a bit loud for but nice place to catch up with friends
This place is so pretty!!! I love the vibes inside the coffee shop, and there's definitely enough seating for you to hang out with friends or get some work done. I got the pistachio latte and my husband got the caramel latte. They were both delicious!! The perfect amount of sweet without it being overwhelming. The only surprise was that it took a lot longer to receive the drink than I expected, but the cup looked beautiful so maybe that's why!
Was visiting friend in Canton stoped in for a quick Coffee and dessert. Pretty place inside with lots of sitting area. Drinks were good dessert was hit and miss. A bit pricey for tea, Coffee and two desserts $30. Service was fast and polite.

Love all the different coffee and tea options with spices. Really happy there are now more options to the typical cappuccino or pour over. They roast their own beans and they have a pastry chef in house making all the delicious delicacies. Comfortable atmosphere, cool color tones.
Here for a meetup and glad I chose to come here. The ambiance is great and classy. The pastries are fresh and looks amazing. Got Adeni( Black tea, Cardamom, milk and cinnamon) and it was great . This place is gorgeous for cute photos and just overall aesthetic. Love the colors black and white themed and the designs. I got the matari latte which is like a pink tea and I was not a fan. I tried my friends honeycomb bread and I liked that a lot. I just did not like my drink at all. I'm not sure if it's the nuts in it/ texture that threw me off. read more
Wonderful ambiance as soon as you walk in. The decor and colors incorporated into the interior design are so bright and warm. I love how they've incorporated a beeper to let you know when the food is done. The music makes the room so alive, and the wall decor keeps the energy at an all time high. I went with the Iced Yemeni Latte that has cardamon and cloves into it and WOW! It's like a flavor explosion went off in my mouth. Seriously, as soon as I took a sip, it was an aroma of different flavors that work so well together. There were so many good-looking desserts to choose from, it was hard to select only one, but I went with the Pistachio Bamboosa as my dessert. The smooth texture of it along with the crunchiness of the pistachios works extremely well. Felt very light and airy, yet filling. I'm really at a loss of words. It's just such a perfect mixture of ingredients cooked to perfection. You can definitely tell that lots of love went into the menu as a whole. The workers are extremely friendly and constantly checked up on me to make sure I was enjoying my meal and was satisfied with my overall experience. Absolutely LOVE Matari!!!! Matari's inside is such a chic, cool look with beautiful decorations, pops of color and gold, and decor all around! Their menu of drinks and food are extensive, but I got the adeni tea, which came recommended by the worker taking my order and the honeycomb cake and this combo ASCENDED ME! I think I will be getting this combo every single time I come! That honeycomb cake in particular - I basically want that to be my birthday cake from here on out as someone who isn't a huge fan of sweets. This cake is so FUN to eat and hits that perfect balance between sweet, savory, and CHEESY! If you're a fan of cheesecake, you'll definitely be a fan of honeycomb cake! I still dream about it every day and can't wait to come back here soon to eat a slice or 10!!! read more
This place is quite beautiful inside. Easily the nicest coffee shop in the Canton/Plymouth area and the best place for Middle Eastern style caffeinated beverages outside of Dearborn. I would have been happy to provide pictures but my previous phone died and the photos that I had on there couldn't be recovered. I highly recommend the Adeni chai. read more

I am so happy I walked into this treasure. They specialize in Yemen desserts and coffees. The smells of coffee, teas and desserts. The staff was so friendly and always was smiling when they talk to you. I was greeted by Brooke who was patience and answered all our questions with a smile. When you done leave the dish ward on the table for them to get and throw away your paper products. I definitely will be back to try other sweets and drinks. Good coffee, spicy flavors, open late. I started going to Matari in 2022 to do work and enjoy coffee. I love the variety of coffees and teas. Beautiful mural inside too! Nice chairs and a large open space, which is great for having a few coffees and sitting back for a little while. Customer service is fine and the bathroom was a little messy. Otherwise, a great stop in Canton. Plenty of parking! read more

Best coffee shop in Michigan! They have definitely earned this 5 stars! The staff here is so kind and humble. The pastry/dessert selection is the best I've tried! Everything tastes so good. The coffee is legit and they even have a beautiful roaster right in the shop. Bathrooms and entire cafe is super clean. Definitely a place to meet up with friends, meet clients or enjoy some me time! read more
This is a cute coffee shop! I loved the matari latte. It's pretty and pink with rose and crushed Pistachios. I liked that they asked me if i wanted sugar in it and it's not just automatic. I had a rasmalai cupcake too because I couldn't resist the tiny pipette filled with injectable sweet milk, and it was great! read more

I don't know what you're up to right now but I urge you to pause whatever it is and head straight over to Matari. The second you walk in you'll notice the beautiful decor and welcoming atmosphere. It's a perfect place to sit and just absorb the ambiance. Then, there's the drinks. They have a variety of unique options and you can't go wrong with any... my husband loves more of the teas and Turkish coffees whereas I love a good Americano. I have never had an Americano that tasted as good as the one here. I had to stop myself from chugging it. And finally, milk cake. That's all I'll say. Taste it for yourself. But if I haven't piqued your interest with that, they also have croissants and other pastries too. read more

Not only does Matari make the most beautiful coffees, teas, and pastries I've ever seen, but they're ALL delicious too! The depth of the flavors they include and the richness of the coffee is unmatched. The staff are so nice and helpful too. They're super friendly and if you have a question about any of their drinks, they're happy to explain them to you. Every drink I've ever had and every pastry I've ever gotten from here are always EXACTLY what I need. My husband isn't a coffee person, but even he enjoys their lattes! And on top of that, they have a HUGE selection of teas and other drinks to choose from for people who aren't interested in coffee. I also have to mention that this cafe is stunning. The ambiance is so warm and they have it decorated so so so beautifully. It's always so clean and fresh and inviting. I absolutely love it here and it's one of our regular stops every Saturday. read more

This place is a elegant coffee shop that is aesthetically pleasing and quiet on the inside (at least at the time i went) which was 3:30 on a Monday, The food here is delicious and very well presented and they have quite a large menu. When i was served food one thing to be noted is they don't hand you any silverware and you have to go across the store to the entrance to go grab your own which i thought was strange, there was also multiple flies in the building landing on the sweeter food at all times. The menu pricing is a little bit higher than the average coffee shops but the service is pretty average, the interior appears very high end and the bathrooms here are very clean and visually pleasing single person bathrooms. read more
I came here as part of a Yelp elite event and was blown away! I am a huge fan of Yemeni coffee, tea, and pastries and have been to pretty much all of the Yemeni cafes in the area. This one is beautiful with nicely thought out decor that is modern and also comfortable. The drink variety is wonderful and so is their pastry variety! I got my usual adeni tea and honeycomb bread and they were amazing. I also got the rose cake, which was heavenly. Service was amazing - Maria was very sweet and helpful! Would highly recommend and I can see this place getting popular very fast! read more

My experience during my first visit to Matari Coffee was superb and I look forward to trying all of their various coffees and teas before I settle on the best of the best. I've had their mafowar coffee and pistachio tea so far and they are my 'go to' depending if I feel like having and amazing coffee or tea. If I want a constant staple of the Yemeni tea culture, I'll go with an Adeni tea which is a milk based tea that is accented with such a unique and subtlety spiced flavor. I still have a ways to go and will update my review accordingly. The manager was so hospitable and engaging in spite of how busy he was and he set the tone for his amazing crew as they were all so pleasant and handled their busy rush with grace and efficiency. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and captures the historical essence of Yemen and the role of coffee in it's rich history. It's hard to be critical of a shop that delivers when it comes to quality, service, and beauty. This cafe is a must try for all and I'm fortunate to live so close to this gem. read more
Its been a while since I have been to a friendly not too crowded place and food that's worth every penny. If you sit there for a bit you'll see the whole canton pass by. Now for the service, they are friendly and fast A+. Now for the Desserts tried all the cup cakes today and was pleasantly surprised with Desi flavor to couple if them ie Gulab Jaman and rasmilai, what a beautiful presentation and flavors spot on. Also tried the Smores cupcake, normally not a fan of chocolate but it wasn't that chocolaty and loved the center surprised marshmallow. You also have to try the honey Comb its fresh fluffy and perfect match with Adeni chai! Will be back for sure! One medium tea and dessert will run u $9 read more

Their menu offers an array of different delicious drinks and treats, but my personal favorite is the Matari Tea. This unique blend combines green tea, Himalayan salt, special spices, and is topped off with roasted pistachios. It's a flavor combination that you won't find anywhere else, and that pink color is so pretty. If you're ever in Canton, make sure you check them out. read more
Lots of incredible desserts! Many Pistachio, Lotus, and Rose flavored options here. Delicious Yemeni iced latte! Such a beautiful cozy coffee shop as well. Definitely pricey, but it is absolutely stunning inside. Lots of beautiful murals, green velvet chairs, and gold accents - great decor! Absolutely love all of the chocolate desserts here (super rich and incredible) as well as the pistachio cheesecake and the rose milk cake. Need to come back to try more! read more

With coffee shops a dime a dozen, I was surprised to see yet another one in Canton, but Matari is pleasantly different. They have a large variety of different coffee and teas and include lots of delicious sweet flavors that are hard to find elsewhere, such as cardamom, my favorite. I ordered an iced Mofawar and it was everything I dreamed of and more. Creamy and so delicious. The pastries looked amazing in the case as well. The atmosphere was clean and modern, yet comfortable and we were able to sit for hours chatting with interruptions. The only thing is I couldn't figure out how to lock the bathroom door. Over my 33 years of life, I've gotten pretty good at opening, closing, and locking doors, but despite all that experience, I wasn't able to figure it out, and with a child already going, wasn't able to leave and ask. However, I look forward to returning at some point to try more coffee and eat some yummy treats! read more

I was in the area and saw this coffee shop. I stopped in to work for a few hours and got an iced caramel latte. The barista was very friendly and brought the coffee to my table when it was ready. The ambience is very nice and is a good place to come work or relax with a book. Definitely would recommend! read more
