I loved that everything was put in paper bags, not plastic. I read that the market has been around since the 9th century, which I loved knowing. A short walk down the hill brings you to beautiful neighborhoods with cobblestone roads and the huge cathedral. It's a lovely area overall.

We usually start by getting a coffee for the husband from the vendor with the mobile coffee bar (the machine is in the back of his van), and then wander the markets and end at the Merchant for a cup of tea for me. Staff seem nice atm, though a while back kept getting served by this right prima donna of a sales assistant. I would've fired her ass due to the way she used to act and treat customers. And so would've good old Mary Portas. Tsk. Beyonce and divaness doesn't cover it. All in all though my favourite place to shop of late.

They are usually organised in nice colour co-ordinating sections with well thought out suggestions of clothes that look well together. In particular I love their handbags! The shop is modern and the staff have always been helpful and friendly toward me. There are changing rooms toward the back and the shop is not overly crowded so it should be reasonably easy for pushchair and wheelchair users to access. The nearest car park is Christopher Place's own multi-storey car park with lifts.
