We got to talking and he later gave me a bid to pave my driveway, The project itself went fairly smoothly, with a few challenges along the way, but I trusted he would follow through and make things right -- especially since I had gone above and beyond to help him and also felt like we had connected as friends. Gary promised to come back and make some additional cuts in the driveway to help conceal the cracking. He did return once to finish one section, but that was nearly four months ago. Since then, I haven't heard back despite many attempts to reach him and I must have called/ texted half a dozen times. I completely understand that life happens, but being left without any communication has been confusing and, honestly quite disheartening. Now my driveway is partially cut and looks unfinished, and I'll need to find someone else to complete it. I feel I've been very patient and understanding. I even paid an extra $5,000 for a darker color that didnt turn out like the picture, and I didn't complain when cracks appeared shortly after. I only asked for the work to be completed as promised. It was such a disappointment to be completely ghosted after trusting him with such a big investment. I don't like writing reviews like this, but I believe communication and integrity are a key part of any successful business.

He, told us to find another contractor, essentially firing us as clients after $40-$50K of work, including showing the work to potential clients and giving referrals. Walt and his team did very nice work, but the GM's attitude is unacceptable. He has forgotten an important rule of business: it is much easier to keep an existing customer than find a new one.

This was our first experience working with a contractor outside of the Bay Area and were a bit unclear about the Monterey County permit process. Daniel went above and beyond to help us with all the permits (and even went to the country to help us expedite the process!). We had some issues with the electrical work in the beginning, but again his team came through to ensure all was done correctly and our home was safe and thankfully we passed inspection (Thank you Santos!).
