My car insurance was a pain to work with, and Art coached me through the whole thing. Additionally, Art/Goodfellas really stepped up and helped me handle them and get reimbursed. (He even gave me the lowdown on which auto insurance companies might seem like a good deal because they have cheaper rates, but they try to wiggle out of paying when you need them). I was so impressed with the work they did on my car that insurance covered, that I wound up scheduling a follow-up to have them fix another issue I'd been meaning to fix. They did good work, at a much better rate than the previous shop that had given me a quote. Also, I'm not much of a movie person, but the Goodfellas theme/decor was entertaining, too. Good people, honest owner, good work. Would definitely recommend.

I had new brakes, shocks and struts installed at a major chain automobile shop in early May. When…read moreI drove away, my car was making a loud, clanging noise as I drove over every little bump and crack in the road. I brought it back to the major chain store to see what was out of place. They found nothing wrong (with their workmanship) and told me that it was probably my tail pipe because it was moving side to side. They suggested I take it to Jim's 66 Muffler for inspection. I brought my car in the next day and explained to Jim what might be the problem. He put my car up on the lift and then he and a fellow employee proceeded to inspect my whole exhaust system. They even bounced my car a little to see if they could hear the noise I was talking about. They both could hear it but it was not my muffler or the tail pipe. Jim said it was perfectly installed and holding up nicely and that nothing was amiss. I ended up taking my car to a Toyota dealership for an inspection because the noise was so unusual and I was sure something was wrong. They discovered that the initial brake installation had not been done correctly and that they had not tightened my front brake calipers. Major safety violation! I want to thank Jim at Jim's 66 Muffler for being so kind and carefully inspecting the underside of my car and for confirming that nothing was wrong with the exhaust system. Extremely professional and excellent service!
