I went to review the other area and everything was done to exceed my expectations. Our last cleaner was given 3 rooms to clean and said it was impossible in the 4 hours. Ana did all areas asked and wiped other surfaces. She is heaven sent. I have been working extra lately, getting by my daughter to move back to college and helping my elderly and disabled parents organize and clean as well. When I dropped it off, we discussed the…read morerestoration and was told it would take about a month to complete which made sense based on previous research on restoration processes. About 3 weeks after we dropped it off, I received an email and text stating the rug was ready for pick-up. But when I went to pick it up, I was told it was not ready and the 'system' sometimes sends out false messages. About a week and a half later, I received another message the rug was ready for pick-up. Once at the store, I inspected the rug and was shocked and somewhat incensed at what I was looking at. The rug was destroyed. Instead of restoring the damaged portions, they cut them off and sewed new binding/edges. Had I known they were going to do that, I would have never taken my rug to them to restore. They blamed it on a communications issue. I took the rug to them to restore based on favorable reviews, their name "Aladin Cleaning and Restoration," and longevity. There are companies in San Antonio that actually do restore rugs, I just chose the wrong one that does not have the capability and capacity to do so. The rug they destroyed was purchased when we lived in Europe and has significant sentimental value ... can never be replaced! Now it is going to cost significantly more to have the carpet restored based on Aladin's actions.
