We had them paint our entire facility (three buildings) and they did a very professional job in a timely manner. Would recommend to others!

We got our bathroom remodeled by TEK starting late September and we were left with a gorgeous…read morebathroom for a great price. The staff at TEK are all very kind and accommodating. Especially Wes who was our point of contact from the start. Wes answered all of our question, was honest and helpful from the get go. Highly recommend working with him or anyone else on the team. The work that was done was beautiful, the bathroom turned out exactly as we imagined it and we can't really ask for more than that. We were interrupted twice because of hurricanes which delayed the work but no one can help that. The biggest issue we had was communication from the team. From what I understood, TEK utilizes third party contractors to do specific jobs like drywall, electric, plumbing, etc. So some times people were coming on days we were told no one was coming. Some days we were told someone was coming at 8 and they'd never show. The reason that was most frustrating was because we had to plan our day around when a contractor would be home, like our daughter's nap schedule, our dog's potty schedule, and even our work schedules. We're lucky enough to have a ton of flexibility but if we hadn't, that really would've dragged the project out. Other than the communication about when the team would be coming though, I have no complaints about TEK or the work that was done. I think the communication bit is an easy fix and I do understand the hurricanes made it especially difficult some weeks. Overall: we got a beautiful bathroom done for a great price, the TEK team was great and the only issue we had was some miscommunication.

This is my personal experience with Tek Contracting/Tek Construction Group…read more I will keep this straight to the point and let the photos speak for themselves. This is a kitchen & bathroom reno + flooring for my 750 sqft apartment. I selected my materials at their warehouse during my design session. What was supposed to be a 4 week job is now coming up to 4 months. The majority of these photos are from the final walkthrough June 3rd, 2025. You will see: Mis-match color cabinets installed, which are also not aligned, Incorrect countertop installed, using scrap pieces, Backsplash grout already cracking, Missing hardware for cabinets, Microwave cannot open entirely, and the outlet does not work, Required GFCI outlets missing - major safety hazard, Incorrect color & style bathroom floor tile installed, Mis-match shower tile installed, Shower niche missing, Grout in shower already cracking, Shelving in bathroom vanity missing, Baseboards unfinished and completely missing in areas, Incorrect color LVP flooring installed, Back door hinges are missing screws - major safety hazard, I caught the back door open one night (who knows how many times that has happened), Open wiring in the attic - major fire hazard, These are ONLY the materials & issues that have not been corrected along the way. There were plenty more issues. Addressing them with the owner did not help. Used materials installed from previous jobs without consent (verbal and physical evidence of this). They have requested all invoices early/ before they were due. The 3rd draw was requested early 4 times. On the 4th request personally from the owner, I paid early under his confirmation that cabinets would arrive in 2 days. It took a few weeks before the cabinets were installed, and installed incorrectly. It took another 6 weeks to 'correct', and at the final walkthrough, they are mis-matched colors, not all have shelving, and they are unaligned.

There are just no words to express the absolute awesomeness that is Oscar and his crew. My partner…read moreand I were looking for a one-stop shop contractor. We interviewed many. Oscar stood out as the most compassionate, the most open to listening, and the most patient. Oscar gave us a full, detailed quote for our project. Laid everything out infront of us so there were no surprises. We wanted to ensure that there was just one person to talk to about this job and that they would do what needed to be done. Oscar was that person. The job came in right on time and under budget. Nothing was done without Oscar checking in with us. Everything that needed a decision would be on hold until Oscar got a thumbs up or down from us. People come to our home now in awe of the difference. We get asked how our experience was with the contractor because people we know who had negative experiences with their contractors wanted to see if we had the same experience. When we tell them not one hiccup, not one issue, they are shocked and amazed. This man is legit. We stand by him and his work 100%, and we are eternally grateful for his professionalism, suggestions, and time to get this project done. Thank you, Oscar and OHS Constructions. Aaron and Joaquin

Five years ago we decided to put our first Dallas, TX restaurant in a mid 1800's building. Why did…read morewe wait five years to write our review? Read on..... Our installation faced two big challenges. Historically accurate fencing for our outside patio dining area and slate flooring for our interior dining area. We had a very specific challenge regarding our flooring that most contractors told us could not be overcome (in the long term). We were advised by every contractor we spoke to that placing slate flooring (which is what we wanted for it's durability) over a historic building floor that was 1/2 cement and 1/2 wood, would result in cracking at the seams and eventual floor replacement. With regards to our historically correct patio dining fencing, we soon found out that finding fencing that would historically compliment our mid 1830's building was a much bigger cost wise challenge than we thought. All the other contractors who bid on our job were keen on building fencing from scratch, a very costly proposition. We chose AHR because they were the only company that were confident that they could overcome both our flooring and fencing challenges AND still hit our budget constraints. AHR was confident that we could get the slate we wanted without any complications. (Just to be sure, we ordered a skid of extra slate in case they were wrong). They were also confident they could "find" the proper fencing for our patio dining area. THE BOTTOM LINE: AHR found the correct fencing from a historic restoration supply company that at first looked pretty much like a pile of rubble to us. However, their refinishing team magically created a beautiful historic fence from that previous pile of rubble. With regards to our slate floor, they used a revolutionary (we called it revolutionary because clearly no other contractor knew about it) bonding underfloor to assure the floor was able to move to the different contracting of cement and wood and still remain properly bonded without cracking the slate flooring at the seam where the cement and wood met. And why did we wait 5 years to post our review? You remember that slate floor that everyone said would never last? Well, we mop it every day, it withstands heavy commercial traffic 7-days a week and now after 5-years it looks the same as they day it was installed! And as for the slate at that wood/cement seam... to this day, NO ONE can tell where that infamous seam is! Anyone interested in a skid of slate flooring? We have plenty in storage!

In checking with several companies we were told the cost for just 4 windows was greater than the price of my last automobile and new windows would ruin the look of our historic home. Fortunately, we found Austin Historical. They specialize in restoring windows to their original appearance and functionality. Kat and her team spent several days meticulously repairing all six windows and did a splendid jo. The cost? Less than half the cost of 4 new windows. The crew was consistently pleasant and helpful. Like having welcome guests in your home. We have only positive things to say and highly recommend their services.
