They did a fantastic job, but Yelp gave them poor reviews and Hampton a perfect score. This was one of the few luxuries of my life, a 100% woolen blanket which I purchased from and had shipped to me direct from Kerry Woolen Mills in Killarney, Ireland. I love that blanket. When I picked it up from the laundry on 17 March it was packaged in a nice clear plastic bag. I took it home in that condition. About me: I am just short of eighty years old and have several lifetime diseases (diabetes, MG, etc.), so I did not open the package until the next day. I opened the package on the Saturday following, and put it on the bed. Two things were immediately1 obvious: It did not overhang the bed as it had. It is now approximately one foot shorter and slightly more narrower. Second, there are dark spots on the blanket that were not there before. As the cleaner closes early Saturdays, I took it to the cleaner on the following Monday where I was told that the blanket had not shrunk and the dark spots were pre-existing. I had been told (by the mill over a year earlier) that the blanket should be gently washed and dried flat. I could have washed the blanket, but flat drying is beyond my capabilities, ergo the professional cleaning. The cleaner is denying any failure on their part, that the spots were pre-existing, and that the blanket is for a smaller bed. Kerry Woolen Mills keeps records, I did have the size which I had stated (order 259xx, 19 Jan. '23) I am out the cleaning (?) bill which they have not even offered to refund, the price of a new blanket €109 plus shipping €55 ($177.43) two years ago, and approximately $35 cleaning fee. So I am out over $200. Thanks Hampton Dry Cleaners.

They called me this morning to confirm I still needed assistance with an alteration and sent a follow up message! Open communication has been GREAT and even provided a ballpark price quote! Very happy with them, and havent even brought my dress in yet! **CONTINUED** I am beyond impressed with this business. Long story short, my apartment complex lost my dress I ordered for my brothers wedding and I was scrambling to find a dress days before flying out to CA for my brothers wedding. I brought the dress in Friday afternoon, like 1:30/2PMish and had to bring the dress in significantly (ended up finding a dress last minute on FBMP a few sizes too big) and it was ready Tuesday evening after work! Its like it was originally made that size from the company! Beautiful work, flawless execution of this alteration. They had transparent communication around what they were gonna be doing and to say I am impressed is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I am shouting praise from the rooftops for this business and please dont keep hunting for dry cleaning/alterations.. THIS is your place!

I dropped off 4 jackets on Friday, July 3rd for dry cleaning (with one small alteration for a hole in a jacket pocket). I was given a pickup date one week later, Friday July 10th. I arrived the following Tuesday, July 14th only to learn my items were not in the store despite the additional 4 days. After waiting for the gentleman behind the counter to place a few phone calls to locate my order, I was handed his cell phone and spoke with who I can only assume was the manager. I was told the jackets were still offsite due to one of the jackets being identified as "at risk" of being damaged, if dry cleaned. I found it inconsiderate that no one bothered to call me before making the trip to the store to learn for myself but honestly, not the end of the world. I was asked if I wanted them to dry clean it anyways and risk potential damage, or if I would instead wish for them to leave that jacket out and be given "store credit" for the dry clean purchase of that jacket. I responded clearly to please simply return the jackets - do not risk damage - and we will figure out the compensation (wasn't thrilled about having store credit pushed as the solution as I use dry cleaning services maybe once every 4-5 years and certainly would hesitate to be a return customer for this particular business given the experience so far). He agreed and told me the jackets would be available for pickup the next day. I received a call the next day, Wednesday, July 15th that my order had arrived and is ready for pickup. I returned to the store Monday, July 20th where the manager accepted my ticket, hung my jackets on the rack for me to take, and began what looked to be the steps of issuing a store credit. During that time, I instantly noticed the jacket "not dry cleaned" was in fact damaged due to significant bleeding red ink from the patches onto the white fabric. I immediately pointed this out to the manager, who quickly became defensive almost to the point of gaslighting me that I should have expected it. To be clear: I was asked directly if I wanted to assume the risk of damage and dry cleaning it after they identified the jacket as a risk. I told them clearly "no" and now I can't help but wonder if they had already damaged the item and had hoped I would have said "yes" to free them of responsibility. But I will never know for sure. I was told "We don't know it's going to do that until we do it." So is it then my mistake that I trusted their expertise to know EXACTLY that? In fact, that would seem to me to be the point of the hesitation expressed in the earlier phone call. His tone was stern, defensive, and at times aggressive or belittling. I feel confidently that he had no intention of discussing the damaged item with me had I not forced the conversation, and he would have been more than content for me to walk right out his door unknowingly. I do not own a business, but I've been a patron to many in 30+ years. I would not have returned either way but wouldn't have taken the time to write this review had any consideration to me as a customer been given. A recommendation? How about a phone call when you noticed the damage, "Hello sir. We've received your jackets back and I'm very sorry to inform you that one of the jackets was damaged in the process. While these things rarely happen, you trusted us with your valuables and we at Saber take that responsibility very seriously. Please come in so that we can look over the jacket together and come to an agreement on how we can make this right. Your business is important to us." Instead, I was met with rudeness and indifference. Saber provided a cash refund of $27 for the dry cleaning, and that's it. Sadly, the damaged item is vintage and not easily or cheaply replaceable. Two of the other three jackets appear fine, including the hole in the pocket. A third, however, wasn't cleaned to satisfaction (will share picture). I immediately took the damaged jacket next door to Jones Dry Cleaning to see if it was fixable but was unfortunately told no. There are many, many dry cleaners in the Charlotte area. I encourage any curious reader to strongly consider them over Saber.

Let me start by saying I would have sworn I had already done this!…read more..... After going thru the dry cleaners and then a shop in West Sacramento I finally went to European on Eastern Ave. Mostly because I lived on that street and it was close to home. Am I glad I did!!!! Michael is THE MAN for tailoring and alterations. He is a true tailor. Not just somebody with scissors and a sewing machine. Michael can build a suit from scratch. The man wears a tie to work! He is polite and professional but most of all he is REALLY GOOD at what he does. First, if your know anything at all about properly fitted slacks, you know that the crease in front should have 1 break. While some "fashion styles" have trousers bunched-up at the bottom, a well dressed man knows what looks right. Second, it's almost impossible to buy properly fitting garments off the rack. So I buy un-hemmed slacks from Haggar online and Michael does the rest. Sleeve length is a challenge for me. Again, if you know anything about clothes, you know that neck size and sleeve length are how to buy a shirt and chest size is how you buy a coat or jacket. For these, they are never quite the right fit for me. Close. But not perfect. I took a inexpensive sport coat to Michael to have the sleeve length adjusted after having the same coat done TWICE at a shop in West Sacramento. The length was never right and the lining was bunched-up at the wrist. A seamstress might be good at wedding gowns but take your jacket to a REAL tailor! Michael immediately recognized that my arms are not exactly the same length and he adjusted them accordingly. He explained to me the different "looks" regarding how much cuff shows. (think James Bond) He can do how ever you want but there is a "standard" and I deferred to his judgment. The coat fits perfectly. Since then I have taken him a full length wool coat that he fitted and I love wearing it when it's cold enough outside. I took him a suede jacket that the sleeves were too long. Because it has cuffs, Michael said he would have to remove the sleeve and shorten it at the shoulder!! I have to admit that I was not too sure about this one but when I got it back, I was amazed!! That sleeve looks like it was never touched and the liner inside shows no evidence what so ever that it had been modified. It's an amazing piece of work and shows the true skill level that Michael posses. That's why he has my new black leather jacket right now. I can't stand the sleeves touching the back of my hand because they are too long and took it to Michael to make it perfect. Looking good because you actually wore a tie for date night and looking GREAT and getting compliments on the clothes you are wearing is a BIG difference. Our last date night I got two compliments from strangers on my long coat. But more importantly to me, I know I'm looking very "James Bond" when I take my wife out on a date. And here's the kicker....it really doesn't cost that much when you consider how expensive the clothes are in the first place! So, if you're like me and you want to look your absolute best, then go see Michael and let him do his magic. You will be glad you did.
