Jerome is awesome. He did a signature tattoo for my girlfriend & really matched it perfectly by using a thin needle to ensure it looked just how the signature on the card looked. It came out great and my girlfriend was super pleased w it. I had my tragus pierced. Jerome was very knowledgeable on the technique of the piercing and maintains a very sanitized work area. Went in to purchase a basic nose ring. The selection was small but fit my need. There was an artist tattooing a cursing vato. The artist was very talented and focuses on his work. The guy who helped me pick a replacement nose ring was very nice, an older gentleman covered in tattoos with blue eyes. He even helped me put the nose ring in! The place was clean and sterile. I've been dancing around the idea of a tattoo of an alex Ross painting but haven't got the nerve to do it yet. But if I do, I would trust this place to do it. read more

Jerome is the best!! Don't let looks fool you.. He is a gentle giant! I had my nose pierced here last night and I'm so happy I wound up in his chair! I was extremely nervous...I had no idea what to expect because unlike my baby sister who watched YouTube videos..I didn't wanna chicken out so I went in extremely blind!! We didn't wait long at all.. once I was called to the back the whole process took 20 minutes tops.. and that's because he took his time to make me feel at ease and ofcourse we laughed about everything! I was referred to mike by someone who's opinion on tattoos I value highly. I went in extremely nervous, this being my first tattoo in 11 years. I went in, told them what I wanted. Rabbit drew up the lettering I wanted, then me him and mike discussed alterations to it, all of them improvements. It being a chest tattoo, to say the experience was unpleasant is putting it mildly, but Mike was extremely patient with me, as I do not have the pain tolerance I thought I had, and all the other artists there encouraged me and were rooting me on. The entire staff helped me to relax and made me feel very comfortable and confident in my decision to go there and would definitely recommend this place to others. Mike Pastore is amazing. He is an amazing artist and an extremely nice person. I went into his shop with an awful tattoo that I was extremely upset about. He eased my concerns and assured me he would make it look great. He did everything freehand and the finished product was so much better than anything I ever dreamed of. I've been gettin work done by mike for over 18 years. I can tell you from personal experience that the work he did 18 years ago looks just as good today as the day he did it. One of the best artist out there. Hands down!! Shop is clean and he has a staff of extremely talented artist. Some people have complained that the price is a little high... What can i say, went to Masterpiece after searching on the web for a few months trying to find the perfect place, I DID!! From Mike, Steve, Jerome and the rest of the crew they make you feel welcomed and are all there to help. I wanted to add to an existing tattoo (old and outdated Genie 2nd pic), after speaking with Mike, i decided that a cover-up was the way to go. Myself and Mike sat around and came up with some ideas, he did not rush me and wanted me to be happy with everything. Mike is such an artist and has great vision, I rolled with all his suggestions, after all he is the artist not me. Don't go here, especially if you're a first timer. If you value customer service, you will hate it here. If you have thick skin, a lot of patience, and you can deal with condescending vibes, you should be fine. Before I go off, I'll say that our piercer did stop what she was doing (a tattoo) to attend to my wife and that was very admirable. Anyway... My wife wanted to get a piercing and this spot was still open after 8 so we figured we'd give it a shot. There was a bit of a confrontation with the 2 female artists about putting the close sign up, but I'm not basing this off of that. It happens. At first everything seemed fine, we filled out the consent form and waited a few minutes and then followed our "piercer" into a room upstairs. The piercing was a bit high too. 65 after tax, but we were committed. My wife admitted she was a bit nervous, and our piercer (Chrystal) started rambling on about how she can't deal with drama queens and was forcefully persuading my wife to make a decision as if her mind wasn't made up already. So if you're nervous its best to keep it to yourself. However, after her rant, she did slightly reassure my wife saying she won't just stab her ear. After that, I took out my phone to record my wife's reaction so we can joke about it later, but apparently that's not allowed either. She asked me to please stop recording her, and I replied saying "I'm just recording my wife's face". She then asked me again, this time raising her voice and talking to me with a condescending tone. I must admit I was a bit angry, but I put my phone away since this wasn't about me, it was for my wife. The piercing itself went smooth, but her attitude was just extremely bipolar! But it's a tattoo parlor. I've gotten tattoos, and I understand the artists aren't all saints but in my experiences, I've never felt the need to just walk out of the store until I came here. Maybe she was having a bad day but there's no need to take it out on us. And despite all that my wife still tipped her (probably out of fear)...Just kidding. -1 star for the price, -4 stars for the attitude. +2 stars for getting us in and out. If you do end up going here, try to avoid her, or at least know what you want and don't show any emotion. And you'll be fine. read more

Getting my second tattoo with Mike now and it's unreal! Mike is a very down to Earth guy and a real professional. I go to Mike because I know I'm dealing with someone who is going to provide an excellent product 100% of the time and don't want to take the chance of having something I'll regret on my body the rest of my life. Even though his time is valuable he doesn't rush you and works with you to find the right design and right placement. He provides his thoughts and opinions as an artist but still knows that at the end of the day it's the client who has to love it and will listen and try to accommodate any requests. read more

I've been wanting more piercings on my ear for a while. I would go back and forth decided on whether I should get my cartilage pierced or not. I ended up going to this tattoo shop with my mom to get my double & my cartilage pierced, amazing experience. My mom was on the edge worried about shattering or damaging my cartilage. Our piercer Jerome reassured her it would be fine and look beautiful. After he pierced my cartilage, my mom loved it & loved the spot he chose and asked if that was where I wanted the piercing to be placed. My mom decided to last minute get her nose pierced with a tiny stud. Jerome cheered her on & encouraged her all the way. Defiantly recommend this shop & ask for Jerome to be your piercing and/or tattoo artist!! He's a great and extremely hilarious artist. Me and my mom were both very nervous but he definitely eased those feelings with his jokes. The price was very reasonable.
