Eco Electric - Your #1 choice for electrical service work. #theteam

    Eco Electric

I'll start by saying I highly recommend Craig Martin at Eco Electric…read more We had strange random power loss at my mom's house power would come and go. I checked the normal fixers like GFI's and circuit breakers. I had a hard time finding the main breaker as it was replaced when my dad added solar with the help of a flashlight and the power company I located and reset the main breaker when I turned it back on there was a loud sizzling noise. It didn't sound safe. Based on reviews. I called Eco Electric after hours to evaluate the problem they sent Craig. I didn't know what to expect. I'm always on guard because my mom can't afford to be taken in this bad situation. I was impressed with Craig. He was knowledgeable and professional. He quickly identified the problem he showed and explained that the breaker was moving around. He tried to tighten, but the screws were burnt and stripped he explained they were not tightened properly, which made the electricity arc. He called his office and tried to locate the assembly to secure the breaker due to the age. Parts were not available. We needed a new panel as it was the original over 30 years old. The parts were no longer available and even if they were, we would only be prolonging the inevitable he wrote up an estimate we thought to be fair. He called for an emergency install to the power company and handled all permits and inspections. He then secured the breaker as much as possible, so we had essential power that night and the following day then he came the next morning and he install was complete by 3 PM. The only thing we're waiting on is for the stucco to be replaced which I'm hoping will be soon as some of it is exposed to the elements thank you Craig. I will be using and recommending you for all our future electricity needs. Sincerely, Sandi Sullivan

As veterans, and with me being a retired law enforcement officer, my husband and I would not…read morerecommend this company based on our experience. My husband called Eco Electric because two outlets in our kitchen were not working. We expected to pay the standard service call fee, which was around $60 and possibly, if needed, $289 diagnostic fee. The electrician, Andrew "Drew", arrived and my husband explained the problem. Andrew gestured toward an area of the kitchen and said the issue was probably there, referring to where the GFCI outlet was located. However, before performing any diagnostic work or even checking the outlet, he had my husband sign an agreement authorizing a $289 diagnostic charge. Andrew then stepped outside, came back in, walked directly to the area he had pointed out earlier, moved a medicine box that was blocking a GFCI outlet we didn't even realize was there, and simply pressed the reset button. The outlets immediately started working. At that point, my husband asked if the diagnostic charge was still necessary since the problem had already been resolved. Andrew told him the charge still applied because he had already signed the paperwork, even though the issue had been fixed before any actual diagnostic work had taken place. That is what left us feeling misled. Our concern has never been about paying for honest work or a legitimate diagnostic. Our concern is that we were asked to authorize a $289 diagnostic fee before basic troubleshooting was performed, and once the simplest possible fix restored power, we were still expected to pay the full diagnostic charge simply because the paperwork had already been signed. Andrew seemed like a nice person, but that doesn't change how the process was handled. I don't know whether the technicians are paid on commission or another type of incentive, but as a customer, the process felt dishonest and misleading. My husband later spoke with Bill, who I believe was the manager or someone in a supervisory role. Unfortunately, my husband found him dismissive and defensive of the complaint. He didn't seem interested in truly listening and even interrupted my husband before he had finished explaining what had happened. To Bill's credit, he said he would speak with Andrew to hear his side of the story and call my husband back. When Bill called back, he did agree to reduce the charge by $100, which we appreciated. During that conversation, my husband explained that, going forward, their technicians should provide a more thorough explanation and perform basic troubleshooting before asking customers to authorize expensive diagnostic charges. Otherwise, the process can leave customers feeling misled and can come across as deceptive. What was especially disappointing was reading the comments Andrew entered on our invoice afterward. He (Bill or Andrew) wrote that the customer "was not happy with having to pay for the diagnostic" and that he "wouldn't be able to work with him again." That is simply not an accurate representation of what happened. Our complaint was never about paying a fair diagnostic fee. Our concern was the lack of communication, the order in which things were handled, and the misleading process. We were asked to authorize a $289 diagnostic charge before the most basic troubleshooting step--checking and resetting the GFCI outlet--was even attempted. Once that button was pressed, the outlets worked immediately. We appreciated the $100 reduction, but that doesn't change how this experience was handled or how our concerns were documented afterward. As veterans, my husband and I expect honesty, transparency, and integrity from the companies we hire. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations, and we will not be using or recommending Eco Electric in the future.

Ampere Electric - Generac standby generator installation

    Ampere Electric

Experiencing a major electrical failure on Memorial Day was an absolute Nevada homeowner nightmare…read more Our main power box failed unexpectedly, and like most people would expect on a holiday, I couldn't get a single electrician to answer the phone. Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. I can't thank Patricio and Carlos enough. Seriously.

From one business owner to another, this was extremely disappointing…read more I had a walkthrough scheduled with Ampere Electric on Monday, September 28th for the electrical work needed for our commercial monument sign project. The technician who came out was knowledgeable, professional, and walked me through the job. I was told an estimate would be sent over. By Wednesday, September 30th, I still had not received anything, so I called to follow up. I spoke with Kira, the Commercial Team Lead, and was told they were waiting on material pricing and that the estimate would be sent by the end of the day. Nothing came. I called again on Friday, October 2nd. Once again, I spoke with Kira. She apologized, told me she would contact the technician, and said to give them a few minutes and she would call me back. That call never came either. It is now October 7th. No estimate. No callback. No email. No update. Nothing. At this point, I am no longer interested in receiving the estimate. As someone who operates a service business myself, I genuinely do not understand this kind of customer service. Customers, especially commercial customers, should not have to repeatedly call and practically beg a company to provide an estimate for work they were invited out to look at. If you do not want the job, that is completely fine. Just say so. A simple phone call or email takes two minutes. Leaving a potential customer hanging after multiple promises to follow up is simply unprofessional. We would never treat our customers this way. The technician who performed the walkthrough made a good impression, but unfortunately the lack of follow-through from the office completely ruined the experience. Communication costs nothing. Apparently, getting it from Ampere Electric is another story.

I bought this house knowing that the Electrical Panel was in dire need of replacement. I scheduled Wireman to come in on the following Monday, and wouldn't you know it...My electrical panel EXPLODED that very night. There wasn't much Wireman could do at that time except promise me they'd be there first thing in the AM since they didn't have the C/B on hand. They were more than prompt! These were solid professionals, working at the spur of the moment, not only had my entire electrical connection panel replaced, but they took care of the many other defects that I knew my property had. Once the job was done, there was a noticeable difference in the way my HVAC, stove, washer and dryer...and everything else worked. they are coming back next week to install my generator interlocks/transfers. I trust this company and their employees' more than I can express, they were the "Johnny-on-the Spot" when I needed them, they pulled through like champions. I totally recommend them for their work ethic and professionalism.
