Arrived on a day that I noted I wasn't going to be home. Removed 3 stumps with a grinder, however didn't have any smaller tools to cut the excess roots. This last hurricane blew one of the limbs half way down. I sent this picture of it to them. They returned answer wanting my address so they could get the limb down. Well don't hold my breath ! We purchased a palmetto tree. We were told by the owner and his assistant the tree was guaranteed for 1 year. Almost immediately after planting, the tree started turning brown. I told them about it via email and voicemail - but there was no response. Then once the center turned completely brown, I sent photos. They told me they would replace it, but there was no follow-through. My subsequent emails and voicemails went unanswered. Meanwhile, two other landscapers came by and told us the tree was planted incorrectly (planted too deep). Only after I continued to pester them in the following months, did they tell me to come over and mark a tree in their lot for re-installation that week. I marked the tree, but It did not happen. That tree we marked? Well, they (apparently) removed our tag and sold that tree to someone else! That's right, they took our tree and sold it to someone else. When I called to ask about it, there was no response, and has not been one since... This company is terrible - the absolute worst! When they weren't ignoring our voicemails and emails, , they lied to us - promising anything to make us go away. We are most likely going to file against them since we have their untruthful emails, but it's a hassle to have to do so. Would you want to be treated this way after spending your hard-earned money? Next door neighbor used this service to trim the pine tree that is between our properties. "Master care" did a nice job of the trimming but all they did was cut and run. The let the cut branches fall into my garden, killing some of my plants..worse yet, they didn't even pick them up. The pile of branches in the foreground of the photo are the ones that I picked up myself. In the background you can see some larger branches that fell into the bushes and they didn't clear them out either. I've called them 3 times leaving 3 messages...no call back, no results. Horrible customer service. Was quoted a price, but they would never come out and do the job. Tried to be accommodating as they kept moving the project date for one excuse or another, like their head tree climber had to go out of town due to family illness. I was very sorry to hear that and said of course we can push it back a couple more weeks. The day they had been scheduled to remove my four trees they somehow managed to be a couple streets over taking down their trees ( not sure how his could be cut but ours couldn't. Oh I know, they didn't Quate them an off season price like they had us, and had they cut the trees when first booked it would have still been in the off season. The the owners wife called to say that the remove fee would have to increase $500 because it was coasting more to dispose of the trees. I said no issue. Didn't even complain or say wait a minute I have it in writing right here that you agree to remove them for xxx number of dollars. I was bending over backwards trying to be flexible and work with them. Again they didn't show up. Got another excuse but I told then this time the next appointment would have to be the last. The needed to show up. They promised up and down, right and left we will be there at 8 am. Never showed up. At 1pm I called the wife again said they are on the way, I said okay 4 pm I texted her and said this isn't working never mind. She text me saying they are driving to my place now and are just 3 minutes away. I quickly replayed with seconds okay I will see them when they get here, she replied to me no since I told her never mind she texted them to turn around. WTF kind of business is this. Horrible horrible company. If they didn't want to do the job because the priced it for off season prices, and it was the owner who made the bid himself to start with, they should have just been straight forward instead of waisting two months of my time with empty promises and never showing up to do the job. Sheduled an estimate, showed up on time and said we will be there 8 am on a certain day. Well no show, no call nothing just wasted a part of my day. I called and no reply back. Called back and said they would be here the didn't know what happened made another appointment for the work and again no show. My time is valuable and very disappointed with this service. If customer satisfaction is important according to their statement, they FAIL miserably. We hired mastercare in April 2021 to resolve drainage and leveling in our backyard. The company was to install a french drain, reslope the yard and then lay new sod. Deposit given. Once hired communication was always thru text as phones were never answered, calls not returned. We would receive messages that we could expect sod delivery, wait and nothing! A couple of workers showed up, scalped our lawn to the dirt and then a week later a worker wheelbarrowed several piles of dirt to the backyard. We never saw anyone again. We would send messages, but NO response! By August we were fed up and sent them a message to cancel and return our deposit! NO response. It is now October and our deposit has not been refunded. read more

After taking my $1700 deposit on a sod job, there were multiple delays and excuses for not getting the work done. After several months without grass, I hired another company and requested a refund of my deposit . Here I am almost 1 year later and still have not gotten 1 cent, despite multiple correspondence and their promise to provide a "partial refund", wanting to keep most of my deposit for doing nothing. I can't understand their business model and have never, in 60 years, dealt with such dishonest and despicable people. How they can look at themselves in a mirror is a mystery. We had 3 tall palm trees put in last year with a two year warranty. One tree was crooked and I didn't like the way it looked and the guys putting it in said don't worry it will straighten out in the sun. Well two of the trees are really doing good but that crooked one has a few leaves growing out the top and then they die. My wife has called and left messages at least 3 or 4 times to get someone out here to look at it and nobody ever gets back to us. We need this tree looked at and replaced because it looks like it is dead but can't seem to be able to talk to anyone from master care. read more

this company is horrible. my advise is to never use them. i hired them to remove pompous grass from my back yard, which they did a lousy job and they used a bobcat. and destroyed part of our curb scape and the lawn where they used the bob cat. i spoke to stephanie @ master care and told what happened, and promised to get back to me a.s.a.p., which never happened. since then i have called numerous times, and of now no response. what a cheap way to do business. they take your money and run, and they think that after a while you will forget about this. well they have the wrong customer who will not leave this alone, and i will pursue this through legal means. read more

HORRIBLE!!!... they showed up to begin work without a confirmed date/time then sent a "worker" without any identification or business card to collect money that wasn't due per the signed contract. We had questions & issues with one aspect of the contracted work(initial contract included: sod, 2 palm trees & pavers) and it took numerous calls/emails to have someone come back out to. The 3rd part of the job (paver patio addition) was never completed as numerous attempts to contact company to get a date (we were told they had another team doing pavers) after 1-2 weeks of back and forth for possible dates they magically said they did not have a team that could complete the paver addition??? read more

DO NOT USE THEM! They came out and gave an estimate to cut down a widow maker. I agreed to hire them for the job and they said they'd be out to do the work on Monday or Tuesday next week. I took them for their word and stayed home from work both days in case any last minute decisions needed to be made. Not only did they never show, but they lied and said they'd reschedule and call me back. That was 3 weeks ago. Now they refuse to answer my calls or to return my voicemails. We purchased a large Sabal Palm from this company. It was installed on June 3rd. I was pleased. During the installation I asked the man why he was not propping the tree as I have always seen with large Palms. He stated that when he planted them it was not necessary as he planted them properly. On June 22nd the tree fell over. This is a large heavy tree. Fortunately no damage was done. Of course, I called Mastercare immediately. The woman was very apologetic and said she would have a crew here by the end of the day, or first thing in the morning. First thing in the morning for them turned out to be 5:30 PM the next day. During my wait, I had an opportunity to examine the root ball. It has been butchered down to almost no roots left. The installer essentially balanced this huge tree in about a foot of soil. Now I have concerns that the tree will not survive . I phoned them 3 times and sent an email with photographs and got no response at all and still haven't. When the crew reinstalled, I was not there, they did not repair the damage from the falling tree and in fact caused considerable further damage to my front yard with the machinery. Now, I have two ridiculous two-by-fours propping the tree. They are neither attached in any way to the tree or securely footed at the ground. If and when the tree decides to fall again these two-by-fours will do nothing. Also, I have a lot of work to do to repair my front yard. I tried to save some money, you should spend a little more and get a tree from a more reputable place. read more

From start to finish, the gentlemen at Mastercare were courteous and professional. They removed 3 sweet gum trees for us and one of them had grown into our live oak. They removed all that they could, of intertwined tree and dressed the remaining segment with a sealer to prevent the live oak from becoming diseased. They also do a great job in cleaning up as well. The price was very reasonable too. We highly recommend them to anyone. read more

These guys never completed the job. They will not return phone calls or make any attempt to make it right. They also broke part of my outside stair railings and promised to fix it. They did not and won't return any calls. I would NOT recommend these guys. They have the chance to make it right and refuse to do so. Their estimate was fair but them they just didn't show up on the day they were to do the work. Didn't even call to let me know they weren't coming. How annoying is it to change your work schedule just to have someone not show up!!! Countless calls before I got a response which was simply "sorry". We have used mastercare in the past and the job they did was satisfactory we needed them to remove 3 more trees and they came but this time it was awful. First off they did not go up into the tree to trim many branches, they had to ask our roofers off of our roof to help them cut down and bring down a tree which almost hit our neighbor's house. The head guy then drove a forklift onto our property and our neighbors property without permission and without any plywood down on the ground. They then proceeded to tear at least four limbs off of our oak tree and we're going to leave them hanging halfway separated from the tree. The foreman of the job then came to us and said he needed to be paid . he said he is in charge and he is the guy who collects the check.he wanted paid without doing the job to our satisfaction. He then told me that if I didn't pay him then he was going to put all the branches back onto my property and onto my front porch. After my wife called the company only then did he go to fixing the branches and fixing the grass that was messed up on our neighbor's yard and our yard from the forklift. The owner never called never stopped never did anything to at least alleviate our concerns over what happened no communication whatsoever from the owner of the company. They did send an irrigation company out to repair the damage to our neighbor's yard and they did a very good job with those repairs the owner of the irrigation company wanted to make sure that we knew that he did not work for mastercare. I know this is a long review but in short save your money go to somebody else make sure you read the reviews. these guys did an awful job without any concern whatsoever for our property or our concerns with the job being done properly all they are interested in was getting a check. The owner of the company could have at least called us and explain what had happened and why it happened that did not happen therefore we do not recommend mastercare at all !@! read more

the owner came and gave us a quote for the work we wanted done. seemed reasonable. we were never given any paperwork as to what was agreed. the crew came out and were here maybe an hour. my husband payed them. upon my inspection after they left, found some things were not done as per verbal agreement. my husband called to question unfinished work expecting to speak to someone. when we called back were told the owner had come out early morning and inspected the work. said all was good according to his paperwork and if we wanted more work done to call and schedule. never knocked on our door to speak to us as to what the complaint was about. I called back twice requesting to speak to someone about the apparent miscommunication of work we requested with no attempt on their part to even see what the problem was. they were supposed to remove a clump of grass and apparently came without shovels? My husband brought them shovels to remove but they didn't use them. instead the grass was cut down (we had already cut it down) even further. that is not what I call removal. very poor communication with a don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. read more
