I can't say enough good things about my experience with John and Carmen. I moved into a new house in April and had been trying ever since to get an estimate for sod, landscaping, a fence, etc ever since. Some companies never called back, others didn't show up for scheduled appointments, those who did, never provided an estimate - you get the idea. I was impressed by the reviews for John's and finally called. Carmen listened carefully to my situation, made some suggestions, promised to check with John and to call back with an appointment time. I was floored when she called the same afternoon and said he had some time late and would it be ok for him to come that day. He was very knowledgeable in all aspects of landscaping. I had some drainage issues, and he made some great suggestions that no one else had mentioned. He took his time to listen to my concerns and to explain what he planned to do in detail, making sure I understood everything. Two weeks later, I have beautiful side and back yards. My neighbors have been bragging to me not only about the results but about what a great job John and his crew did every step along the way. I was sitting in my driveway trying to figure out how to fix the lawnmower blade that I completely destroyed and 2 young men from John's Landscaping saw me As they were driving by. I waved them down only to ask if the blade was fixable or if I needed to buy a new one. The young man then asked me if he could get out and walk over to help me. Of course I said yes and he literally fixed my blade for me, they both did. Outstanding young man he was, both of them. So kind and so respectful. I then called the number on the card and spoke to the young man's mother and expressed my gratitude. I then later found out that they had been taking care of my grandparents yard for many many years. Great response to our initial call! John was here the next day reviewing our plan for changes and clean up, provided options that we were not aware could make the property even more beautiful! The quote was reasonable, considering what he proposed...throughout the work provided updates and approvals prior to any changes. (with NO additional expense!) We called John's Landscaping to give us a bid on replacing old and overgrown trees, plants and bushes in our yard, and they were able to come that same day. This is a family owned and operated business, and we found them to be warm, responsive, and knowledgeable about local plants and trees. We established a plan and a price, and work began that same week. We are very pleased pleased with the work they did. They were prompt, came well-equipped and worked efficiently. John and his staff did an exceptional landscaping job in our front and back yard. We originally were going to have work done only in our backyard, but were so impressed with the results we decided to have the front yard done as well. We had two palms planted as well as a variety of shrubs and flowers and it looks fantastic. We also had rock put in the beds for no hassle future maintenance. John listens to your ideas and has great recommendations as well. His prices are fair and reasonable.Knowing we were returning to NY and on a tight time schedule, he accommodated our time frame. I needed some landscaping work (trimming, planting and mulch) and called John's Landscaping although I didn't know anything about the company. What a pleasant surprise. He came the same day and at the promised time. His quality of work far surpassed my expectations. For example, he created a trough to separate the lawn from the shrubbery explaining that would keep the mulch in place. None of our previous landscapers did this. He is very knowledgeable about plants and shrubs and suggested the new plantings. Everything looks beautiful and we are so glad we found him. I needed a repair to y irrigation system this week. After having someone else back here twice with out fixing the problem. I started calling around today. I contacted 6 irrigation company's this morning The only one to answer the phone was Johns wife. He was here within an hour, found the problem and fixed it quickly. I had a large flowerbed that was over run by weeds and was a mess. John came out and gave me some suggestions and recommendations. I went with his recommendation and was very happy with the project. John cleaned up the flowerbed, planted a tree that I liked and a flowering bush's. John also cut down a tree, trimmed another tree and, removed a couple of bush stump for me.
