One of my favourite cuisines is Chinese, the flavours, the spice, the chilli, and a good stirfry is always worth having for a quick dinner. I was super impressed when we found Silver Chopsticks in Werribee. It has become our go to Chinese restaurant close to home. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of our favourite dishes are the steamed home made Dim Sims which I think rival what you an get at Sth Melbourne Market. The Pork spare ribs in Mongolian sauce, melt in your mouth pork with a great sauce. For a healthy dinner the chicken and cashew nuts with some added Chinese mushrooms is a treat. Silver Chopsticks does both sit down and take away (pick up) which adds to the flexibility. The staff are friendly and generally attentive. We have had one experience where they were super busy that we got a little left out and ended up with quite a long wait for food. Silver Chopsticks also do a Chinese New Year banquet do with Lion dancers and fireworks. Great fun!

I would give it four to five stars during the day as Yum Cha is their thing. The trolleys are plentiful and there is a wide array of dumpling and fried goodness as well as fast and friendly service. For dinner service it is a little slower and the prices seem to jump considerably. Good value at dinner does come if you have a table of four or more as the banquet is a great feed at a good price.

It's very run of the mill Australian Chinese food here but I find the ingredient are always fresh, nothing ever comes out looking limp or tired. Service is pretty good, some young and polite servers and a grumpier older Chinese man but I think he's part of the decor and we have all come to expect him. The food was edible other than the dish specifically ordered with no pork - and checked, and on the docket - that had pork. Other dishes were nothing special, but after a 30+ minute wait, even stale prawn crackers taste alright. It was also a shame that the rice was forgotten, that the food took quite a while to prepare despite not being particularly busy, and that there seemed to be preference given to orders made with an app over customers waiting in-store. At a price double other nearby easy options I would recommend steering clear, especially as this doesn't appear to be a place interested in asking those who don't wear masks, or wear them improperly, to wait outside. L had udon, who she said was OK. It's cheap, solid fare, but that's about it.
