Dropped off a skirt (waist taken in) and jumpsuit to be shorten, turn-around time was about 2 weeks (pretty standard), price seemed reasonable. The fit was perfect on both items. At pick-up, he possessed the same attitude and wildly remembered exactly what I was coming to pick up, mind you this was my first time coming to him. That's impressive. I didn't feel rushed, be asked me to try on the clothes to ensure they fit. He's definitely found a repeat customer in me. Thanks Rocky for exemplary customer service!

I've been using Rocky for alterations for over two years…read more Rocky has altered dozens of purchases I made on eBay, including shirts, pants, and sport coats. Having used a number of alteration shops in Memphis, Rocky does the best job. His prices are fair and he has the clothing ready on the dates he promised. There is one more service that he provides that I find particularly outstanding: Rocky offers independent judgment. By that I mean he is intent upon making valuable recommendations. On multiple occasions, I wanted to have my clothes altered in a certain way and he gently suggested a better alternative. Doubtful at first, I followed his recommendations, and he was correct every time! In my firm opinion as an attorney who always want to look sharp, Rocky is the only person in Memphis to use.

She was able to make the changes to my dress in about 2 working days which is probably unusual but I needed to fly back home to Chicago. Not only did I receive my dress back in perfect shape, I also had this added stress removed from my plate as I was nervous about the finished look! I would recommend Elaine to any and everyone. You may have to let the phone ring a bit to get a response but she is worth the wait!!!

She did not do what I asked, she in fact REMOVED ONE SHOULDER PAD from a dress- yes, JUST ONE! and took out the ENTIRE ZIPPER OF ANOTHER??? how am I supposed to get the dress onto my body?! There was definitely a Language barrier and I tried to show her physically what I wanted done and she seemed to understand and pin it the right way when I showed her what I wanted, but then she did the opposite after I left??? When I came to pick up my items, my clothes were hung all around the store. People were looking at them and examining them and ASKING IF THEY COULD BUY THEM and I feel like if I waited more than a day to pick them up she probably would have sold them?? I do not recommend getting any alterations done here. You won't get what you want, and you won't know that for about a month.

The…read morefriend had bought her daughter's prom dress in January from Lula's and was told that it would take 1 week for alterations. Thought it would be done with plenty of time to spare before prom. In April, a week and a half before prom, it still wasn't done. I have honestly never heard a more rude business owner on the phone speaking to a customer. It took a full 5 minutes for Lula and other store employees to even locate the dress after being given the name of the customer and a description of the dress. She kept making excuses for why the alterations weren't done, saying she had so many dresses to alter that they alter them in order of prom date. That's why this dress was bought in January, to avoid the prom rush! She also could not give an estimated time that the dress would be done, just kept saying "not this week, I'll get to it next week"- the week of prom. Not only did Lula not follow through on the work that was supposed to be done, but she was extremely rude and condescending when she was questioned about it. I will not ever be using this business and I will steer everyone I know clear from it as well. Completely unprofessional.
