As a first time home buyer constructing a new build home, making sure every thing is built to code…read moreis pretty nerve wrecking. We are in a Facebook group for our builder and there is all the negative talks about things being built incorrectly. As a result of this we went to Yelp to hire our own inspector. This is where we found Rich. Rich has been amazing throughout this whole process. We hired him to do our pre-drywall inspection as well as our final inspection before move in. The best thing about Rich is he provides very thorough reporting with a quick turn around. We received both reports same day as the inspection to pass over to our developer. Rich made sure that we understood everything and provided answers to all our questions. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home inspector and will be hiring again for our one year inspection.

Jonathan Howard came out to inspect some possible sump pump issues we were experiencing. We thought…read morewe had a pretty good idea of what might be going on. Mr. Howard did such an awesome job on quickly locating the issues and then finding likely causes that we didn't even consider. Not only are we thankful for the vast knowledge that he portrayed and really opened our eyes to, but I'm very confident in saying he saved us $$$$$ thousands in repair bills down the road. We are very fortunate to have found this company that still operates on the basis of work ethic and honesty

We were only given a day by the seller to find…read morean inspector and have it done the next day, which meant having to finesse someone's schedule (or pay more). Once I found Jonathan, he was willing to take on extra hours outside of his work schedule to get this done. We booked him that same say, however, we did not even know until minutes before the allotted time if we were able to go in or not. Regardless, Jonathan still showed up on time. Once we got in, he thoroughly checked everything in the space. He made sure to walk me through each aspect and had suggestions on what I could do to improve it/the price point of changing things. Also, did a full write up on basically everything in the house, and included annotated photos. Very very happy with Jonathan's work. The price for the services is beyond reasonable for all the detail and flexibility that was put into this process. Would rebook in the future with no hesitation. Would highly reccomend for my own family and friends.

Incredibly poor service and lack of accountability. We hired this company for a home inspection,…read moreand they completely missed extensive mold on the basement ceiling caused by a leaking steam shower. This oversight ended up costing us $15,000 to remediate and repair. When we confronted them, they came back out to the property and saw the visible mold themselves, yet they still refused to take full responsibility. Instead, they offered a insulting $1,200 settlement. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a thorough and honest inspection. The pictures below show the mold found on the basement ceiling, as well as the mold discovered after we had to rip apart our shower. It's funny Ross says what the public should know.   First the adjacent steam shower unit he talks about is 14' away from the actual shower that was leaking. And was not leaking during inspection.  This was noted that it was fixed years earlier by the previous owner.  The closing of the house was not 90 days after the inspection it was the normal 45 days that is very common. Also the lack of construction experience by CBI.  When first confronted about the leak I was informed in an email that we were told there was caulk issues around the shower. Anyone that has ever put in or been around a walk in shower knows the shower doesn't leak because of the water proofing membrane.  Not caulk.  What this means is the shower should not leak before tile, grout, and caulk are installed.  Once again not experienced with construction practices. All I have to say is watch what you sign when hiring a building inspector. We were denied by there insurance company due to waivers being signed taking all liability away from CBI before they even stepped foot on the property to perform the inspection.  Oh yeah.  I didn't mention the house down the street that they missed the kitchen sink leaking and the wall of mold behind it. Got our family twice they did.

From the start, the client care coordinators were super helpful and courteous; I called back several times with extra questions, and they never made me feel like a bother. The company also has excellent communication, including sending helpful text reminders leading up to the appointment. Mitchel arrived early and had already begun examining the exterior of the home before I arrived. He was exceptionally professional and thorough, which gave me total peace of mind for a home built in the 1940s. At the same time, Mitchel was very personable and told me the truth about what he found, providing a level of honesty that is hard to find. He basically saved me from making a major mistake. I am so very appreciative. I especially appreciated White Glove's flexibility regarding add-on services. I had initially paid for radon testing and a sewer scope, but since the general inspection revealed significant issues, I decided not to move forward with them. Even though I'd paid in advance, one of the client care coordinators contacted me that same day to proactively process a refund for those services. I highly recommend Mitchel and the White Glove team for a smooth process and a reliable inspection!

But yesterday evening before cancelling they clearly mentioned that there won't be a cancellation fee but today morning they came back stating a cancellation fee of 225$ will be charged but they did agree to refund 850$-225$=$625.0.They said they changed their mind because we cancelled twice. The only way we can get the full refund of 850$ is if the cancelled appointment spot gets refilled or taken by another inspection appointment. We called back in few minutes to let them know that they can go ahead with the appointment as scheduled as we did not want to be charged 225$ and they came back stating the slot is taken by another appointment. We then asked could we get a credit for the cancellation fee of 225$ if we schedule on another day possibly day after tomorrow. They came back later stating no they still need the 225$ cancellation fee. This company goes back on forth on what they say over the Phone. They first said they needed the cancellation fee only if appointment slot is not taken and now that it is taken they still need the cancellation fee even if we reschedule to another date. Now we are forced to find another inspection as it appears white glove don't want to work with us anymore which is why they are doing this. But they do a good job on inspection finding minute details.Henceforth they are in demand because of their work and skill. It could have been better had they waived the cancellation fee of 225$ since we are a returning customer and we will anyways reschedule for future date.

After taking a brief view of the outside of the complex he came indoors and started from the ground floor. As we progressed up to the condo he noted several things that I should take care of and several things that would need to be brought to the attention of the homeowners association. It was extremely helpful to have him go over all of the things he noticed and why they were not favorable or up to code. He was also able to give us ballpark estimates on what he thought it would cost to properly fix some of the items, which gave me a good idea of what sort of costs I would need to budget for to repair these items in the future. Afterwards, we received an extremely thorough report that included pictures and descriptions of all the items that were noticed. My experience with Chris was extremely positive and I would wholeheartedly recommend using his services.
