I called a few places and they didn't have what I needed, so I called master Gunman and he said bring it by, so I did he stopped what he was doing and got to my gun. Master Gunman may not be the most aesthetically pleasing gun range, but it gets the job done. The prices are very reasonable and they offer a law enforcement discount. One of the best features that I like about this particular range is that you must ring a doorbell upon exiting the range and they announce for all shooters to cease fire. There's also an announcement to cease fire upon entering the range as well. I think it just adds an extra level of safety. The staff here is very welcoming. read more

I went here on Saturday 20th and had a great time. There was a bachelor party in before us so we ended up waiting for about 20 minutes to shoot. A group of 4 of us (2 lanes) managed to get in shortly. The range is definitely a "no frills" type of place. The target prices were decent and there was a fun selection to choose from also. The hand crank target pulleys are kind of laughable. some of them are so worn out that it takes 40+ cranks to move the garget 5 feet! I'd recommend this place if you're looking to get some practice in but certainly not if you're trying to impress friends from out of town! I'll be back for sure. This place has been open for like 30+ years. It's under new management for the last 1.5ish years. Skip and Bonnie, the couple who run it, seem like really nice folks. The target track is the only one in Atlanta high enough that my tall ass doesn't shoot straight through the center of the target and into the floor with my pistol at distances under 25 yards. The tracks are manual but work great. The range is not air conditioned, but there was plenty of airflow, and it was plenty comfortable even while the outside temperature was 95F. I love this place. My bf and I came here once with Groupon and then again with groupon! The group was super cheap! Not sure if they still have Groupon but def should Check it out! The staff makes sure to explain directions properly before we go in the room and start shooting. You have to also sign a waiver and you practice how to shoot a gun before going in. Both the times I came here it was super chill and relaxing and tbh it was stress free coming here. For parking wise there is an entire lot and it's free parking. For location wise it's pretty easy to get to the location with Waze or google maps. It's right off 78! I would def be returning to this place very soon and taking my friends for a day or night out! I used to shoot here a lot about 4 years ago and the staff became like family to me. Went back to reunite this week and the family I remember had all moved on to bigger better things and had been replaced by some stoner. Its disconcerting to be at a gun range where you have to remind the "guy in charge" of the saftey procedures that are needed before one enters or exits the range. Unacceptable. If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a gun from this establishment in 2019 very first gun purchased. It was stolen along with my car at the end of October. It was listed on the police report and unfortunately since I bought the gun I've moved 3 times and misplaced my paperwork. Well when it was stolen I called asking for paperwork on my gun since it was misplaced I was told the paperwork retrieval would be $50 I agreed to this because I needed it for reimbursement on the insurance claim and they said it would take 2 weeks. Well weeks go by and I have no paperwork. 2 months in and I call to speak to the "owner" and he was so rude to me mentioning he's doing me a favor as if I didn't have to pay $50 dollars for the paperwork he also stated that because he felt I didn't understand the length of time it took to obtain paperwork that he wouldn't retrieve my paperwork for me. He wanted me to kiss his ass for paperwork that if I sent the cop to get he'd have to provide right away. Terrible establishment, even worst customer service. Owner is an asshole. I was lucky enough to have a detective on my stolen car case that didn't mind giving me the paperwork I needed to be reimbursed for my gun and I promised myself that after I was reimbursed I'd write a review to tell others to be aware of the terrible customer service experience they are running at this gun shop! Would never shop here again and I hope this helps someone else. Also before I even talked to the owner I called multiple times and the owner was either "busy or not there" "running to get lunch" right before the shop was set to close. "On vacation for weeks" so I had no options to come in person to receive paperwork...etc etc. I ended up buying a new gun at a sporting goods store one where if I ever needed replacement paperwork it would be provided without given the run around. read more

I just purchased my first pistol (although I've been out with friends several times) and this place is really close to my house. After reading some reviews online, I was expecting a run-down junkyard, but I was pleasantly surprised. Facility: I've only been twice, so I don't know everything about the place, but it really wasn't that bad. The facility shows it's age and could probably use a good spring cleaning, but its not so bad, you want to walk out. The same guy has been there the past two times I've been and he has been pretty nice. Not overly talkative, but neither am I. I did go during off-peak hours, so I had no problems you might experience if the place is packed. Another reviewer mentioned the hand crank targets, but I liked this. It was in good condition and not really much of a detractor. Cons: I have a few things I didn't like, but nothing big. First, the lighting was a little dim. Go there during off-peak hours and you get your choice of lanes. Second, there seemed to be a draft in the pace, so the targets would move around which was distracting. Prices: Average. The range time is cheaper than most places, but they make up for it in the ammo price. If you bring your own ammo, this place is a real deal! Overall, a good, inexpensive place that too close to my house to pass up. read more

Master Gunman was my first experience at a gun range and shooting a hand gun. I wanted to get a defensive hand gun for safety at home. My friend had a groupon for Master Gunman and offered to let me go with her. Perfect opportunity to try out different guns that I might want to purchase. My friend had been once before and had a great experience. When we arrived a heavy set younger woman asked us what we wanted to do. My friend replied that she had bought a Groupon. The lady was visibly and verbally very unfriendly and annoyed by us being there. We told her we were new to shooting. She asked us what we wanted to shoot, and of course my friend and I don't have any knowledge of types of handguns so we said we didn't know. Instead of being helping she just keeps throwing out numbers and types of guns as if we are inconveniencing her , and asking which one we wanted to shoot without explaining their differences. Honestly we just picked one because she was being so rude. Then she gave us a safety lesson on how to shoot the gun. She was extremely condescending and unprofessional in my opinion. She put my friend and I both on edge and we were scared to ask questions, because honestly she was treating us like we were stupid. We even had verbalized to her several times we were new to this. At one point we wanted to try another gun , not helpful yet again and yelled at my friend to bring the other gun to her I front of other customers. In my opinion someone like this does not need to work in this profession. I'm not a professional gunsman, but I'm aware that shooting guns is a very serious activity and you should feel safe and be able to get help from the people working at the range. My friend said the time she had been before she was helped by a tall slim man, and that he was very friendly and helped her select several guns to try. The range itself is small and kinda dirty, but it gets the job done and prices seemed affordable. If you are not new to shooting this range would be fine for you to get a few rounds in, but if you are new, do yourself a favor and go to Quickshot in buckhead ... superb gun range! read more

I visited this range once several years ago and was turned off by the rude staff. Fast forward to now and I was looking to purchase a new gun and needed to have it transferred. This was the closest FFL to me, so I gave them a call. Their transfer fee was reasonable and the man I spoke with was kind and helpful. I knew for sure that it couldn't be the same staff I had encountered before. My brother and I had our new HK45c's transferred there and immediately when we walked in that morning we were impressed. The staff was extremely helpful and easy to talk to, and the overall experience was great, both due to the staff and to the range. We have now been there 3 times each and will continue to go because our experiences have been so positive. Please don't let the reviews of the past owner turn you away from this range. The new owners are phenomenal people and I'm more than happy to give them my business whenever I need a pistol/shotgun range. read more

I've been shooting here 10+ times a month for a while now. If you want some place to practice for a reasonable price, then look no further. Sure they don't have a fancy lounge or brand spanking new equipment, but you don't have to pay any membership fee, wait for 60+ minutes to shoot (even on Saturday), and your range time goes down in price for each visit past the first during a single month. There is one catch, however. You can't be a complete and total moron. If you can't read, fill out a simple registration form (name and contact info), or have enough sense to follow basic gun and range safety practices, then don't even try to shoot here. I've seen more than one person turned away because they couldn't safety handle a gun, and that's the main reason I like Master Gunman. They don't put getting a range fee or trying to be everyone's buddy over the safety of their clientele. read more

I have been going to Maser Gunman at least once a month since March 2014, and I have to say that the new owners are very friendly & accommodating. They now stock a wider variety of targets & ammo, and are steadily working on improving the "look" of the place. I was completely turned off by the previous owners on the one time I came in to inquire about using a lane, as the older "gentleman" treated me as though I was an unwanted nuisance who didn't belong in his presence. My 1st experience here was about 3 years ago, and as others have said, the previous owners/management was rude and judgmental. And that was as soon as I walked in to inquire about renting a lane to shoot. As a result, I walked out without shooting and vowed to never come back and give them my money. I was half right. I have been back, but after the current owners had taken over, and I am glad I did! They are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and safety conscious.
