Fantastic experience and highly recommend for 18+ yo drivers…read more Ron was very patient and professional in helping our daughter gain valuable driver tips, experience, and confidence in general driving and in preparation for the test...which she passed the first time! The lesson communications were smooth, he was very flexible in fitting in times, and he picks up from the house. Will definitely recommend to other 18+ students

I really enjoyed my lessons with him, and could not believe how quickly I developed confidence as a driver (I am 36 and had never driven before- either in the US or overseas, so I was starting from scratch). In just over a month, I felt prepared to take the road test. I actually began my lessons with another driving school, but left that school as the instructor was inattentive and unprofessional (talking/texting on his phone for most of the lesson, scheduling lessons with other students in the middle of my lesson). The behavior of the previous instructor made me extremely tense and apprehensive about what is a pretty daunting endeavor. On the other hand, when I began lessons with Ron I started to enjoy the process...which is how it should be! I also felt that he actually enjoyed teaching, which made me look forward to my lessons and made it easier to forget whatever stress I had before getting into the car with him. I also found it really convenient that Ron offers 1-hour lessons (most schools only offer 2)...that way I could take shorter lessons more frequently, and I think this was critical for me in terms of becoming more comfortable with the whole process (two hours seems like it will expedite the process but, when you are a beginner, the process is a bit overwhelming (you on edge the entire lesson, which takes a toll on the nerves) and, personally, I just wasn't able to cope with two 2-hour lessons a week. In my opinion, the shorter lessons spaced closer together were key to my success. I would highly recommend Ron if you want to not only become a great driver, but also enjoy the process.

Had a really great experience with the instructor Amanda! Absolutely would recommend her to anyone…read morein the area looking to go through Best driving school. She was calm, reassuring, and patient, which are all great qualities to have in a teacher. She really helped me with the maneuverability part of the exam. Wish I would have had her for more sessions. I also worked with another instructor here, Pat. Everyone told me I was really lucky to have him, because he is the most senior instructor and has the most experience working with adult learners. From the start, he was discouraging and made me feel like I was the absolute worse driver that he had. He repeatedly told me that I was not ready for my test, and that I would need several more months of sessions before he felt confident. I found that he was a bit cocky too, and spent most of our drive time boasting about how great of an instructor he was. He even told me that if I went to another school and an instructor told me I was ready for the test, they were probably "lying to me" and just wanted my money. He seemed to get frustrated with me when I didn't do things exactly the way he had instructed. For example, for the maneuverability test, he had a specific method he wanted me to use but was not open for any other way of doing it. I ended up canceling my first scheduled driving test because Pat told me I wasn't ready. It was only after switching to All star, that I had the confidence to reschedule my test and I passed on my first attempt ! Moral of the story here: don't let people tell you what you can and cannot do! If I would have stayed with Best Driving School, I probably would have still been taking lessons, with no date in sight for my actual road test. I will say that my entire experience with Pat was not completely negative. He did really help me with speed control, especially when going from a school zone, to highway, to residential neighborhood. He also helped me figure out the best time to put my turn signals on, which is 100ft before. Overall, although Best driving school is a cheaper option for adult learners, I would definitely recommend booking with All Star instead. Best driving is always filled up so you probably won't get an appointment until 2 months out!
