I never write reviews and for me to take the time to write one, should mean something for whom it may concern. Out of all the company that I met with for a quote for a complete and full pool removal, Master Demolition (MD) was the only one that actually took measurements first. The other companies just looked at our pool and gave a ballpark estimate (which usually means it's going to end up ALOT more than what was originally quoted). Master Demolition's price was very fair and considering the fact that they took measurements before giving us a quote, we knew exactly what we were paying for. MD requested the permit on our behalf which I was able to verify on our city's website. Due to the rain, it took a little longer than expected to start and I had to follow up a few times to get an update but once demolition began, the team worked very hard to get the job done. They even worked through the rain on some days. We did discover that some parts of our pool were thicker than usual, which required extra work (and extra $$) but that is understandable. We had an excellent experience with Master Demoliton! We interviewed 3 demolition companies to demolish and fill our pool. Felipe really took the time to measure and evaluate our space and needs. He alleviated any concerns we had - about the size of the project, the ability to get equipment through our very narrow side yard, potential problems with the water table (being close to the beach) and working around the storms and holidays. His quote was very fair and reasonable compared to the others. I liked that he set expectations very clearly and didn't sugarcoat anything just to get the job. You can tell that he was experienced and knowledgeable. He knew that our city was very slow with permits. He always stayed in communication with every text and call. We hired Master Demolition to remove our 43,000 gallon pool that was 12' on the deep end. They were very good at explaining the process and options for the removal and pricing was excellent. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and safely, and cleaned up daily. With a 12' deep pool we ran into a ground water issue which they resolved without delays, the backyard is now a nice level field ready for grass or other landscaping or building. They handled all permitting and scheduling as well as provided me with copies of the permit and compaction report. Crew of 3: Forman, Machine operator, and a worker who worked clearing the trench and giving navigation instructions. They where and out in an afternoon. Felipe came out in 2020 to give me a quote on my driveway but I had to put it off till this year. He had a very competitive quote but the only one with a standard quote of a 5in thick pour. All others were at 4 in and since they were in Orange County wanted to keep the business here. They showed up early and ready to go and did a great job from demo to pour even including some small additions/changes. After the pour they came back for some final clean up a couple days later and to pick up some of the cones for another job. Felipe was always available by phone or text. I hired them to demo a planter that had pavers and 4 sago palms that I had cut down. I sent him pictures, but i then decided to remove the pavers my self. His guys came hauled away dirt but refused to remove the roots from the sago palms because they were deep and didn't have the proper tools, even though I had remove the pavers that they were supposed to remove as quoted in the price..
