I manage a 10-acre high-end estate and our standards for vendors are exceptionally high and Master Cleaners consistently exceeds every expectation. Over the years I've worked with Peter and his team, they have handled everything from routine fine-fabric cleaning to furniture removal, delicate repair work, high-end rug restoration, and custom drapery care. Their white glove service, meticulous attention to detail, and over-the-top customer service are truly unmatched. I never have to worry when they're on-site; they're reliable, professional, and absolute masters of their craft. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Peter Masi's Master Cleaners is exceptional. He and his wife, Sheila, and team cleaned and repaired the borders of a prized century-old heirloom Persian rug that was purchased in Berkeley by Terese's grandparents, Marion and C.E. Sullivan. The results were fabulous. Peter, however, went beyond our expectations when he responded to concerns that the rug was rippling across a new pad. He drove an hour to see for himself, pondered the problem, and decided it was the pad. Masi replaced it, and the problem vanished. We found Peter to be informative, engaging, and a man of his word. He and his team are simply the best. read more

I had a medium sized area rug cleaned, and it came out better than it was when it was new. Apparently I had an uninvited animal come into my home through a cat door that was open and my rug was badly soiled. Sheila helped me suggest how it would be clean best. They trimmed off some of the loose ends in the weaving and it looks better than it did when it was new. It is so wonderful to have a long time, local company that does an outstanding job. read more

I brought a Ruggable in to have a cutout made fit around the toilet in a small bathroom. Everyone was helpful and professional, and the hand-wrapping on the cut section was excellent. Mine was a very unusual request, but they followed all the instructions and used my paper template perfectly. They are true experts on carpets, and I feel lucky to have them in our area. I highly recommend Master Cleaners! read more

It has been many, many years since I've experienced the amazing level of customer service that I recently received from Master Cleaners. Not only did they get all the delightful aroma of dog pee out of our Oriental rug (a miracle itself), but they also went above and beyond in terms of service. From taking it away to delivering AND installing it so precisely and carefully in our home, they exceeded my expectations by a mile. Master Cleaners are well worth every penny you pay for your rug care--and then some. read more

These are the rug and carpet pros. I took my entry rug to be cleaned. I thought it was tan and blue, yet after cleaning, it was cream colored and blue and looked brand new. The knowledgeable staff knew my l rug's era and type and how best to clean. There are not many facilities with the extensive and expansive machinery to handle the largest of carpets. They have over 60 years of experience and can solve all your carpet and fiber needs. I highly recommend. read more

Peter Masi and the crew at Master cleaners are fantastic. They are extremely knowledgeable and do more than just clean rugs. this is the second time I have had them clean and repair three of my rugs. They thoroughly inspect and measure each rug, note potential issues e.g. wine or food stains, pet stains, wear spots and pile or fringe damage. They discuss options to maximize the best outcome possible for any issues found. This may include adding fringe to the existing damaged one. They also can provide new padding for each rug explaining the benefit of the proper padding for different floor surfaces. There returning of the rugs is just as complete and thorough, noting any issues during cleaning if there were any (my pets accidents ended up invisible). They placed my rugs and new padding , adjusting the location as I requested and repositioned the furniture. They look like new and I can only say that I will never use any other company! Best in the business, bar none! Bob F. read more

Master Cleaners definitely lives up to its name making my area rug fresh, like new with its original vibrant colors and feel. The service technicians arrived focused on being thorough with measurements, careful study of the carpet condition, fiber type and construction. They told me the type of rug I had, confirmed the type of cleaning and restoration needed, and provided an estimate for cleaning and even a carpet pad. They moved the furniture, rolled up the carpet and took it back to their plant. Within days it was back in my home making it beautiful again! Years ago I toured the historic, late 1940's plant and solid equipment that was built to last, to see just how it works. I can say first-hand you can't clean a rug this well at home!! The industrial strength, safe, multi-step deep-cleaning and drying technology is beyond cool to see, and explains why you'll experience a clean area rug like really no other available. All this with that thorough and friendly customer service! Master Cleaners area rug cleaning is easy for me to absolutely rave about! read more

Great job cleaning our rug in reasonable time tried and true operation ...highly recommend

I HIGHLY recommend Master Cleaners! I have sent my Oriental area rugs to them for many years and have always been pleased with their work. They pick up, skillfully clean them in the traditional way, and return them in a very reasonable time frame. They deliver them and place them on new pads wherever I request; or they carefully wrap area rugs for storage. They really know their craft and can make excellent repairs on treasured floor coverings. Master Cleaners' Kyle came last week to clean my wall-to-wall carpets in my home. He is friendly, efficient and trustworthy. What a great feeling to be able to leave the house while he worked his magic, removing spots that I had feared were permanent. Also, there was NO lingering odor, which is very important to me. Sheila is the voice of the company and, though we have never met in person, she feels like a friend who is there to insure all goes well and that I am a satisfied customer. In this uncertain world, this is one place where I can expect GREAT results every time. read more

Master Cleaners went above and beyond. They did a meticulous job cleaning my three rugs. Arrived on time, took outstanding care of the furniture needing to be moved in order to remove the rugs. They completed the cleaning when promised, returned with a professional, friendly, and skillful crew and carefully placed the rugs and all my furniture exactly where they were prior to removal. They are very friendly and responsive by phone, and truly went the extra mile to be sure I was 100% satisfied with their work. Master cleaners is fabulous and there are simply not enough words to describe the outstanding experience I had with this company. read more

Master Cleaners took care of our large wool area rug. I purchased this rug second hand and used it for a couple of years before getting it cleaned. There was a wax spill on the rug, and some areas where furniture had compressed the fibers. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get those areas to 'lift'. There was also dog urine on one of the corners. Looking at it now, the colors are vibrant and beautiful. The rug has been restored and it looks better than ever! Having a wool rug washed isn't inexpensive, but having it done properly is worth the investment. I would return to Master Cleaners. You can trust their work to be top notch. read more

I have had rugs cleaned at Master Cleaners since 2012 and they always do an incredible job. Fast forward 10 years - I brought them a high-end felted wool rug with bleeding color designs from Peace Industries that had water stains. Not only was the staff friendly and knowledgeable about these types of rugs, they were very upfront about what they thought they would and wouldn't be able to remove. They also offered to wrap and store the rug during my vacation. Master Cleaners is THE go to place for rug cleaning, advice and consultation. read more

I recently took two rugs into Master Cleaners to be cleaned--after I had used a spot cleaner that left several obvious lightened spots. Peter and the Master Cleaners crew restored them to look like the new ones we had purchased in Turkey some years ago--not a hint of the faded spots remained. Thanks to Sheila for the prompt notification of a quick turn-around. 'Truly quality service. read more

Master's Cleaners were amazing. First, we had an initial review of my upholstery item where we discussed my concerns and realistic outcomes. Once the price is established, the product is taken to their extremely knowledgeable staff who are true professionals. Every single piece I brought to Masters cleaners came back beyond wonderful. I'm so happy with their level of professionalism, great customer service and fair price. I would not recommend anywhere else. Thank you so much. read more

Master cleaners picked up our light colored couch that has never been cleaned since we got it in the 1990's. I was doubtful about how the couch would look since it never had been cleaned before and was really soiled from daily sitting. I definitely will have Master Cleaners clean my couch again but I will not wait as long to get it cleaned. read more

I just picked up my beautifully reconstructed 100-300 years old tapestry cushion from Peter Malfi, owner of Master Cleaners. I was so pleased to see how artfully and precisely this piece was rebuilt. I had not imagined how carefully the stitching would be performed and the color of the yarns picked so complimentary to the cushion's ancient design. Peter and Shiela were delightful and very clear about the project before we started. I'm pleased to say that I believe we were all surprised and grateful at the outcome. I would recommend doing business with this company and am so very pleased with the beautiful job they did for me and the delivery was almost a week early! read more

We stopped on a Saturday afternoon about 3pm to have two rugs cleaned. Though the sign said closed, the door was open & a man (I think he's the owner) came out to our car. I asked if it was too late to drop off two rugs (not realizing until later that the place isn't open at all on Sat or Sun) & he said, no, come on in. He recognized me as a repeat customer though I haven't been here in more than a year & proceeded to show us around the place - here's where we clean the rugs, here's where they're dried, here's where rugs are repaired. He's so passionate about what he does you can't help but be interested, too. We had a 2-for-1 coupon which he spotted right away, and happily. Told us to pass it along to anyone we wanted, even someone we hate, as long as they have rugs. Quite the comedian. Prices are reasonable, but not inexpensive for the service they provide. He even said I could pick up the rugs on a weekend day if I call first. Great customer service experience. read more

Great service! Great communication! I had two highly soiled (pet stains, wine, etc) area rugs that a different company attempted to clean for me but, unfortunately other country made them even worse! So, I called Master Cleaners and they picked them, cleaned them beautifully, and charged a very reasonable price! They look GREAT! The owner even contacted me personally to make sure I was satisfied with the services. I highly recommend this company and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks so much! read more

I can't thank the technician, Kyle and the Master Cleaners team enough! My dog peed on my brand new reclining sofa and I felt like it was the end of the world. I will definitely be a returning customer. So very happy with my experience. read more

Our party guest spilled a large glass of red wine on our estate sized, over dyed light blue and cream colored wool and silk rug. A few weeks ago I posted a negative review of Master Cleaners. I had hired them to repair a rug that had been attacked by moths. I was deeply disappointed in the repair job, and let them know it. To their credit, the owner (Peter) made good on the repair. The shop redid their work, and this time they did a very good job. Peter also offered to professionally wrap all of my rugs for my upcoming move - free of charge. While it was nice of Peter to offer to re-do the repair and wrap my rugs, I would not go there again. The stain removal they did left a bleached spot and a gouge on my Chinese wool rug. The repair on the side of my Bokhara rug fell apart within a month, and the cleanup on my silk rug was sloppy. I know Peter does not like negative reviews, but to get positive reviews he will actually have to do a good job - not say he's done a good job when he hasn't. read more

Our Mom left us a large (8 x 12) Oriental carpet that needed the cigarette smoke & Seattle must cleansed out of it; a little research led me to Master Cleaners in Santa ROsa. Peter & his wife Sheila operate one of the shrinking number of area carpet cleaners left; you can't just get Coit in on these delicate masterpieces! Peter explained the process, pointed out some additional re-weaving repairs that my rug would benefit from, and wrote up the work order. My rug came out beautifully! Clean, brilliant colors, repaired edges! I am VERY satisfied with Master Cleaners' service & professionalism. Though wal-to-wall carpet has shrunk the market for professional rug cleaning, it is good to know that there is an experienced service available nearby! read more

This is the second time I have used Master Cleaners. I confess that after the first time I went with another company that was cheaper. I will not do that again. I have 5 oriental rugs. They come as a team of 2 to pick up the rugs. The cheaper place was 1 guy and he asked me to help him move my furniture! Master Cleaners got my rugs cleaner than the other place! They look like new rugs. I couldn't be happier with the results and will always use them. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them. read more

This is my first time writing a review on yelp, or anywhere, but I had to put in my two cents! I can't recommend the enough! They are the best. I have a large carpet and it was infested with moths. They came picked it up and had to move some heavy furniture. When the delivered it back, they placed it, moved the furniture again! The carpet looked great and didn't have a bad smell. 8 months later, I noticed a few moths flying around, I called them. They came right out and checked my carpet. They were willing to take it back and treat it again! As it happened, we decided not to do that. I really appreciated their knowledge and professionalism. read more

After shopping the competition over many years, I am convinced no one really actually "cleans" the carpet but Master Cleaners in Santa Rosa! I absolutely wouldn't go anywhere else for help with caring for my carpet, upholstery or area rugs. I am thrilled with this company!!! Carpet holds a lot of dirt hidden in its fibers, deep down, and can be filthy and unhealthy. Without actually "removing" the grime and dirt, it just gets moved around, which is what I have found most other carpet cleaners do. They try and are friendly enough, but in my personal experience having observed the results of many cleaners, the cleaning methods of others are just not powerful enough and it shows. Not only does Master Cleaners actually REMOVE the dirt with the most effective method of cleaning, they remove all the moisture to prevent any kind of molding. Even the proposed ":dry methods" of cleaning have moisture left behind...don't be misled like I was...my carpets were nearly ruined and smelled horrible from one cleaning company I tried because they sent a coupon mailer to me. I've learned to BE CAREFUL. With Master Cleaners, truly I have been impressed time and again. Never have I seen such thorough and hard work completed to get my carpets clean and dry, while in the most professional, friendly manner. The results speak for themselves...stunning. Forget the cheap coupon cleaners, you'll get a superficial clean that won't last, and have to replace your carpet much faster. It's like my dad always said, "If you take care of it, it will last a long time." Master Cleaners will take care of your carpet, so it will last a long time. Their area rug cleaning factory was built in the 1940's when customer service and excellence in reputation was king, and they have not changed that tradition all these years with a consistent level of high-quality service every time they have come to my home. I stand by their service and the beautiful results. Contrary to common belief, carpet does not have to be replaced that often if you call on the experts. But enough said by me, try it and you'll see for yourself! read more

We used Master Cleaners about two years ago and I had a similar experience- my home was told to be very dirty and I was quoted an outrageous price for three bedrooms and a staircase. I would strongly recommend Rob Kinney at Kinco carpet cleaners, whose work is great and about half the price of Master. read more

There are no words to describe how wonderful this business is. When you walk in they treat you like family. They were also very honest and were willing to work within my budget to get my rug cleaned. I brought in a multicolored rug from Target that is very obviously not a high end quality rug. Some would say cleaning it is a waste of money. However, I love the rug and it really ties my living room together. So, I was willing to spend some money to get all the traffic and pet stains removed. The wonderful people at Master Cleaners truly helped me to keep the price affordable. When I picked up the rug it looked BRAND NEW, I was amazed! It was so dirty I didn't expect it to ever look so clean again. I would highly recommend this business to everyone! read more

My husband and I recently took delivery of 5 gorgeous wool and silk hand made area rugs. We waited almost a year for them. Simply gorgeous...for about a day. I called Master Cleaners in a panic- the night before, my husband had spilt a glass of red wine on a Harris Ranch cowhide rug (not a South American cowhide that is easily replaceable) while we were visiting a friend.
