I wish I could rate this place higher because the barbers--Luna, Fernando, and Ezra--are phenomenal. They consistently deliver excellent haircuts, make you feel welcome, and leave you walking out more confident than when you came in. They are the only reason this review isn't one star. Unfortunately, this isn't the same barbershop I fell in love with a year ago. Instead of building on what made the shop great, management seems to have changed the atmosphere entirely. What used to feel like a classic neighborhood barbershop now feels more like a Toys "R" Us. Nearly every time I've been in over the past several months, there have been children screaming throughout the shop. If you're looking for a relaxing barbershop experience, that's become increasingly difficult to find here. Customer service from ownership has also been disappointing. On multiple occasions, the owner has walked right past me without so much as a hello, a smile, or any acknowledgment. It's a small gesture that says a lot, and leadership sets the tone for the entire business. The music has also shifted away from the traditional barbershop vibe that many customers come to enjoy. I understand that's a matter of personal taste, but combined with the constant noise and the overall change in atmosphere, it no longer feels like the shop that earned my loyalty. The real heart of this business is its barbers. Luna, Fern, and Ezra are incredibly talented professionals who genuinely care about their clients. They deserve far more credit than ownership for the reputation this shop has built. If they ever decide to cut hair somewhere else, I'll gladly follow them. read more

I've had trouble finding a good barber in LA that is worth the price they charge especially with my front hair cowlicks. I got lucky when I came across Israel /Master Barbers. Israel is not only skilled with clippers but also scissors. He's very consistent with his cuts and I've even trusted him for my wedding. They were only 6 mins away so of course I had to try it out! I gave them a call and they told me to come in as they were currently available at the time. I had the absolute pleasure to have Ezra cut my hair. Let me just say he is so personable and funny, it made the experience that much better. Felt like barber was tin it to get it over with that putting effort in. Doesn't price gouge so I guess get what what you pay for.
