Review is for service, quality of work and price…read more My auntie was referred to Master Academy and went to give it a try. End result?! Confidence boost and has found herself a new hairdresser. Sandra was the student assigned to her and throughout the whole process my aunt said that Sandra was very tentative, kind and professional. Gave her exactly what she asked for and would check on her to make sure she was comfortable. In the end, my auntie cant stop talking about how happy she is with her cut, color and her experience as a whole. Color came out great; better than expected. She also got her hair blow dried and as if it wasn't enough, all these services for a fraction of the price she would have paid at a Beauty Salon! My auntie has received many compliments and will definitely be going back to her new hairdresser Sandra.

The students were very friendly and interpersonal. One student was too sleepy and teasing my hair and hurt my scalp 3x which was frustrating. But the teacher was careless and had an attitude. Just her technique and watching her go about teaching the students seemed careless and unprofessional to me. I had an allergic reaction the next days and informed the school. THIS SHOULD NOT BE OK! I asked to see their products 3 times and they said they would and end up not showing me the ingredients which is shady to me. This is a careless practice. The female teacher had the audacity to gaslight and make up reasons for why this would occur. Next time, DO BETTER and have COMPASSION, learn from your customers and learn to listen, not to answer back. If that was you, youd be upset I cannot recommend this place.

In my OEC statement, I reported that a 21 year old senior in BFA drawing and painting student, Dana. she told me to "go back to where you came from" and "act your age". I also documented that she and her friends laughed at my walk, which is affected by my disability. The deeper issue was how the department responded. Faculty and conduct administrators minimized the evidence I provided and labeled me the bully, even though I reported feeling intimidated and unsafe in my academic spaces. Their avoidance and favoritism created a culture where harmful behavior continued without accountability. I also stated that I had to block multiple Instagram accounts connected to the same student, Dana, because I believed she was using social media to monitor me and spread false narratives. The same attention‑seeking and elitist behavior appeared in campus art spaces, including a performative "Filipino Instagram group page" online, while bullying Filipino students in person. a pattern of narrative‑shaping for likes, followers, and visibility rather than genuine community. Even in Gallery spaces, Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum settings, Dana's behavior showed up as attention‑seeking, exclusionary commentary, and inconsistent art technique paired with high social‑media performance. The environment felt more about online image than actual artistic growth. Because of the hostile peer behavior and the department's failure to intervene, I cannot recommend the Drawing & Painting program. CSU policy aside, Dana's behavior shows a classic status‑defense pattern inflating her "high school grad" identity while bullying transfer students to protect her fragile competence. As for CSULB... not something I'd recommend to my fellow CC transfers.

My son has been going to this school for 3 years, that is until we found out the truth about the…read moreplace we called home. My son has seen his friends get grabbed, physically removed for messing around, get hit (the teachers would defend the people hurting them), and racism. I've also spoken to some of the moms that have left recent reviews to get their feedback, and they told me their reviews were taken down by the school. When me and my husband looked at these reviews we have also noticed that a lot of the stuff stated in the reviews are still happening. When my son and his class went to the park, he saw the teacher yell a derogatory Asian slur at his old classmate, then when my son came home telling me the news, me and my husband were furious that a teacher at the school has taught my son discriminatory language. We were angry that we were paying over $1,000 in tuition per month for my son to learn hate before fractions. I'm about to list more situations in this review: 1. My son is more quiet and doesn't get in trouble at all, but he has watched his friends get grabbed, cussed at for telling the teacher to not touch them, the teacher started a dynamic which disrespects kids, and they're rude to their parents. 2. The teacher would talk about her husbands g-string, and would talk about sexual things that I don't want my son to hear. 3. The teacher would also take away my son's lunch if he had to re-do the work, and there was this one incident where he didn't listen to the teacher because he was starving and just started eating his lunch, then got kept from going to the park when the class was going, then for the rest of the day he was isolated in a classroom and made to think he was a bad person when really it's the school being cruel. 4. During games class, I find it unsafe for kids to play in an alleyway that has homeless people in it, and I also find it unsafe that they have to move every time a car comes by. 5. When me and my husband were on the fence questioning ourselves about if this is the right place for children, we sent our kid to the school the next morning with a tiny notebook and a pencil and we told our son to take notes of everything that everyone says and happens in those bad situations. When my son came home me and my husband took a look at the notebook, and me and my husband were pissed. From what the notebook said we were upset to learn that the teachers actually violently grabbed a kid that didn't do his work because he was thinking about stuff emotionally at his desk. 6. From everything that we have our son tell us all of these people there sound very unskilled, and should work with kids. Me and my husband admired the Waldorf scene of it being creative, hands on, and supportive but these teachers aren't supportive at all to certain kids who are different then what they like, me and my husband talked to the parents of the kids who have been violently punched or grabbed by teachers, or students. And these parents were very nice people, from this other review, I read all I have to say is you shouldn't learn about the school because it's a cult on my prospective, it's not inclusive if not, everyone is supported at the school then it's not supportive at all, the tuition is over $1000 for your kids to be wearing hate, and to be playing in a alleyway with shattered glass and homeless people. And I fully support all of these kids who have left the school because so many kids have left that they had to merge a few grades together because the parents weren't the same truth I have. and every time me and my husband would have meetings with these teachers. About how they would act with other kids. They would deflect it towards the kid who is actually getting bullied because they are different. the school has also let my son learn about the N-word, sexual jokes, sex, and racist jokes from other kids, This school dose not censor what the children talk about. What I have to say after my experience here is get your kid out before this school is a huge waste of money, and time. For all of the people reading this review get your kids out of there, or if you're learning about the school do not let your kid out there, and maple village if you respond to this review don't try to say none of this happened, because you guys know it did.
