To any aspiring barber that wishes to pursue this as a career, let me tell you why this is an amazing school to attend. From beginner, intermediate & advanced barbers, this school has a lot to offer to you to build your skill set & knowledge on theory quick & effectively, from Instructors Ray & Joel that push for every student to achieve any goal or purpose they have in & out the classroom! I would totally recommend coming here & signing up & start your pathway on becoming a professional licensed barber! I thank them for all i know while i'm still currently attending & can't wait to finish to show i'm a percent more of the success rate in this school! So don't procrastinate, give Nancy that call & do yourself the favor to get ready to do what you know you want to be doing!

The most affordable barber college in Los Angeles. I'm very lucky to have been recommended this school by a successful business owner in my neighborhood. I'd recommend to anyone.

I went for a number 4 (simple cut) and was really happy with Raphael's work. Thanks, and you saved me at least 50% from a regular barber.

The concept was very different than the other Japanese nail salons in town. The pricing varies by how much time it take for you to do your nails yourself. The gel polish(virtually odorless) that Yuriko let you use (at the salon only) is sold to professional nail artists exclusively. She doesn't do acrylic nails so her salon doesn't have that chemical odor like other salons. She will walk you through every step of the way to help you achieve the nail design you want! When you're ready to remove your gel nails she will teach you how to remove them via "soak off" method. Yuriko is also very knowledgeable on how to care for individuals with dry brittle nails like myself. If you don't mind the commute to the salon. Enjoy doing your nails especially gel and want to decorate as much as possible for a low price too, then I definitely recommend it! Best of all no need to pay tip since you're doing your own nails. In addition, you don't need an appointment and Yuriko will work with you on an first come first serve basis.

I arranged childcare and missed work for this appointment. When I arrived, the front desk staff (not the person who booked me) realized there had been no communication about needing to wash and blow-dry my hair before braiding. I explained that Nancy had never informed me of this, and thankfully the front desk kindly honored the original quoted price. After my hair was washed and blow-dried by Christina, we were about to start braiding when Nancy stormed in and abruptly demanded that the service stop until I paid extra for the wash and blow dry. She was loud, rude, and dismissive -- even putting her hand in my face when I tried to explain the miscommunication. She told me not to speak because she was "talking to her student, not me." She then touched my hair and began making discriminatory comments about its length and thickness, saying that it would "cost more" but refusing to give me an exact price. Instead of resolving the issue, she escalated it, argued, and ultimately instructed the student to stop the service entirely. When I asked for her supervisor, she claimed she was the boss and the supervisor, blocking any accountability -- until I insisted and was finally able to speak to the actual administrator, who was kind and understanding. This unnecessary conflict wasted 25 minutes of my appointment, leaving the students pressed for time and forcing my service to be cut down to 2 braids instead of the 4 I had booked. I want to be clear: the students and instructors were professional, kind, and compassionate throughout this. The only problem was Nancy Lopez. Her behavior was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unacceptable in an educational or customer-facing environment. I will be reporting her to the board for her conduct. If you book services here, please know the students are talented and respectful, but the administration -- at least under Nancy Lopez -- is another story.

They still needed assistance. This created a minimum of 20 minutes of the teacher trying to assist all these students who were lost. I felt like she relied on other students to help those students who needed help which isn't fair. They should have a prerequisite to this class MUST know basic microsoft, how to use a mouse, how to save/ download documents into a folder, etc. I decided to stop going to the class since the teacher had to focus on these others students and then when everyone was finally on the same page. She would literally rush through the chapter since of course our class was behind. I'm giving it 3 stars since this isn't the teacher's fault or the students. The school needs to do a better job in making some of these courses to having a prerequisite pertaining to that course.
