Master Automotive has been in business since 1987 and has been located right downtown Elkhart since 1992. Stan Glanders is the proprietor and oversees three on site auto techs and two business managers at different locations.
Stan and his techs are ASE Certified and there isn't a mechanical repair that they can't do. From complete engine replacement to brakes, exhaust, cooling systems. tires, alignment, part replacements and oil changes, they know what they're doing and they do it well.
When you walk in the door you may wonder just exactly what it is they do there. An original car sits on the showroom floor, made from seven old cars by Fred Bamber of the old Studebaker plant in South Bend. Titled "The Land Jet" it garners loads of stares and exclamations of, "What's that!?"
There is a display case of old toys from the fifties. An old Coke machine still dispenses small bottles of Coke and old time gas pumps adorn the windows along with a collection of pedal cars. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin croon in their waiting area which is clean and comfortable.
Stan and his techs are conscientious in their work. They will go over your car thoroughly and let you know if they see anything else that may need attention in the near future. If you need a ride to or from work Stan and his crew will see to it that you have one.
Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. they are conveniently located at 215 N. Main Street, parking off the alley. A key drop in the alley door allows customers to drop their vehicles at their convenience.
Stan also owns Truck Master and Howard's Towmaster. Both companies are run with the same diligence to quality customer service as Master Automotive. Dave Paff and Jerry Kindig do excellent jobs running both locations. read more
