When I got started I had no idea the intake would be so thorough or that I'd even need that - turns out the profile makes a HUGEEE difference. I've never been able to stick to any non-sports related work outs & the way he made my plan makes all the difference. I really didn't need a personal trainer hovering over (I've went that root & found myself not having time when they had time OR needing to reschedule allll the time). Really I just didn't know how to properly workout in a gym & needed a level of accountability. He genuinely and wholeheartedly cared about the pace I could achieve my goals and adapted everything to fit my crazy event-planning schedule. 1000/10 recommend!

My goal was to get back in shape for the summer, but what I didn't expect was how much confidence I'd regain around training in general. Ben didn't just throw workouts at me.. he rebuilt the basics, cleaned up how I moved, and programmed in a way that actually made sense for where I was at, not where I used to be. The sessions were challenging but smart. I felt athletic again without feeling beat up, and for the first time in years I looked forward to training instead of dreading it. By the time summer hit, I felt strong, lean, and capable again. What really says it all is that I didn't stop once summer ended. I'm back training now to stay consistent and build toward next year instead of starting over again. If you're a former athlete who wants to train hard, feel good, and actually stick with it, Ben is exactly who you want to work with.

I really wanted to like Lean Force Training. The facility itself is decent, and the class structure…read moreseems organized on the surface. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by one major issue: the trainer's attitude. There's a big difference between being tough and being discouraging. I came in excited and ready to work, but that enthusiasm didn't last long. From the very first session, I felt more criticized than coached. Corrections were delivered with a tone that felt less like guidance and more like condescension. At times, it honestly felt like the trainer was more interested in pointing out what I was doing wrong than helping me improve. I get that some people thrive on the "no-nonsense" approach -- but there's a fine line between pushing someone and shutting them down. Several times, I left class feeling worse about myself than when I walked in, and that's not why I signed up. A little empathy goes a long way, especially in a fitness environment where people are already vulnerable. If you're looking for a place that emphasizes progress and encouragement, you might want to keep looking.

However, I could not have asked for a better trainer than Federico! He trains with technique and is very strategic about what movements to do to target certain muscle groups. In February 2013 I started training at Framingham Taekwondo under Master Roman de Sousa. Where do I begin? He's incredibly experienced as an athlete, an instructor, and a school owner. He is excellent at judging people's skills right off the bat, and customizing amazing, uplifting classes that challenge everyone, regardless of their level. Want to train for self defense? a fun, challenging workout? to compete? This school delivers, whatever your personal goals may be. As far as the students go, they've quickly become my friends. It's not every day you can walk into a gym or martial arts school and feel instantly welcomed. The camaraderie here is real, and everyone wants you to succeed, and you can't help but join right in, and feel the same towards everyone else. The assistant instructors are super nice, patient, and eager to help before or after class, and they are excellent at teaching the kids as well. There is plenty of parking, two training floors, changing rooms, bathroom, a waiting/viewing area, and the school is exceptionally clean at all times. I train Monday through Thursday and it's truly the highlight of my evenings. No need to look any further, check out Framingham Taekwondo!
