I connected with Massageworks via text to get an appointment for my daughter as a gift, as she needed a massage after having severe back issues. Justin indicated that his schedule was full, but he would do his best to call back and schedule my daughter if an opening occurred. Lucky enough, the next day, we got notice that there was an open spot. Justin had the appointment with my daughter and she shared that she experienced a huge relief in pain and major improvement from the massage. Justin said that it was one of the biggest muscle spasms he's encountered. The next day my daughter flew across country and went from incredible pain to great relief and plans to have follow-up sessions with Justin when she gets back to Sierra Vista. I've been to other Massage Therapists and I've been a guest here about seven years. He consistently aims to identify therapy solutions for an individual's pain to promote healing. He also utilizes stretching techniques during the sessions and checks in to make sure the pressure amount, room temp, everything is comfortable. He's professional and his draping techniques ensure comfortability. I typically need deep tissue work and he is excellent at providing even pressure without pain. read more

5 stars is not enough! Went in for a 1.5 hr deep tissue massage. I literally FEEL 10 years younger, no joke. I live a very active and hectic lifestyle running a ranch and am beat up from my younger days as an athlete. Justin is easy to talk to and comfortable to be worked on by. Apparently my experience with Justin is not anywhere similar to the other reviewees. To put it bluntly, he injured me to the point that, 4 months later I'm traveling 2 1/2 hours one way every other week to see specialists to repair what was done. I'm not new to massage. I've seen over a dozen massage therapists in various settings from the therapeutic to the onboard cruise spa variety. So I've been able to experience a broad range of abilities. Of all of them, Justin has been the absolute worst. When I first met him in his studio, he was awkward and had difficulty establishing rapport. I was there because of a back/hip injury. He was thorough when going through my medical history, but immediately tossed out what I'd told him in favor of one thing he noticed. He proceeded to work just on that one thing. I've had previous chiropractors and the massage therapists they've trained work on it, but Justin took a routine procedure way beyond the expected when he had me do dead leg drops as part of the procedure. With my back/hip already injured and guarding, the dead leg drops proceeded to tear muscles and tendons. I saw him one more time, and I told him in no uncertain terms was he to touch that area again. That what he had done had caused me more pain. He tried to argue with me that he knew that needed worked on, but I stood my ground. That was the emotionally coldest, most silent massage I've ever gotten. I've recently found out through a massage therapist in my chiropractor's office, that she has inherited quite a number of Justin's former clients because he has injured them and they are coming to her to get relief. If I'd had any idea this was a possibility, I never would have seen him in the first place. I'm sharing my experience in the hopes that it gives better balance to the reviews about this therapist. read more

It's been months since I've gotten a massage. I honestly didn't know what was correct or incorrect with my muscles, alignment, posture/position...I just knew I was sore/tight and in need of some work done. Justin fit me in his schedule last minute (just passing through) and remained flexible with the schedule/timing.
