My experience with Melissa has been the best of all of them. It is very easy to communicate with her what you need and want and want and she does a great job. Haleiwa is a little far for some people (myself included) but I try to make a North Shore trip out of the day and it is always worth it. The cost of the massage is very reasonable, plus as a teacher I get a discount. You don't get the frills of a fancy spa here (but I'm not sure that's worth the extra $100 anyway) but you do get an awesome massage!

She worked on it with a combination of hot stones, her hands and other tools - tuning forks, different bells that are new to me - and for the first time in ages it is pain free and I have full range of motion back. If you're used to "traditional" Swedish or other massages, some of what Roxanne does will be unfamiliar and seem a bit strange. If you can trust that she knows what she's doing (which she does) and experience it, at the very least you will have tried something new but likely, you will feel the benefit. If you don't want those things however - just tell her! She listens well and constantly seeks education on new techniques and healing massage therapy approaches. She also checks in throughput the session to make sure the pressure and other aspects are comfortable and acceptable. Besides that she is kind and generous with her time and knowledge. Her studio is comforting and cozy too. I can't wait to go back.

I've gotten massages all of my life and this was an excellent massage. She was very intuitive about where to pay attention to on my body so I didn't have to explain my needs, at all! My girlfriend really enjoyed her experience too. Her massage area was clean and very welcoming. I'm in the personal care industry so I know what to look for and what to look out for ;-) While there were no fluffy bathrobes or cucumber water to distract you from a mediocre massage that a lot of over priced spas perform, it was a relaxing, thorough massage. I will be back, like every time I go to San Juan kind of going back! Her prices were incredibly good as well. A don't miss sort of experience.

The massage/bodywork element to her work was exceptionally therapeutic by itself, but I'm really glad that I decided to have her curate a full, intentional retreat. Erin is incredibly intuitive and a gifted healer. I felt very open with her. After only a brief discussion, I found her suggestions for activities while I was there so personally and insightfully tailored to what I was going through. Her recommendations really helped me get lost in "deep time." Checking in with her at the end of my time on Orcas to discuss what I did and the significance I found in it was helpful for me to process it, and our visits framed my trip in a meaningful way. If you want an intuitive soul to help you traverse a meaningful transition in your life, I couldn't recommend Erin more highly.

My boyfriend and i came here last month for a weekend getaway, i wanted to do a surprise massage…read morefor him, this place a little cheaper than the other local salon. I would give the spa 5 stars because overall our experience there was great, they let me set up an appointment on sunday, where they are normally closed. We had Kenny and his wife do our massges and from what me and my boyfriend concluded, they were great massages and they were very professional. i dont like talking during my massages and from what my boyfriend said and what Kenny did for me they were very focused into the massage and not chatty. they both did some work with hot stones and it was a first and they were a nice surprise and felt great. the only thing i had a little issue was when i first tried scheduling the appointment, the week before coming to San Juans, the first lady i talked to wasnt the spa director but she was very nice and gave me as much information as she could until the spa director herself would be able to get in touch with me. I didnt get a call back that day so i had to call again the next day, where i couldnt get a hold of the salon after multiple calls until i left a message. the director was helpful in the information she gave me but she did seem to be rushing me trying to get my appointment down and my information, so that was little odd for me.

All the bridesmaids but one had Shawna do her hair, and Shawna ended up having to fix the maid who didn't have Shawna do it originally. Dana became openly hostile and the Bride was really upset with the behavior because it made everyone feel tense and took away from the fun of the day because having to fix the hair caused us to be really late for pictures. Several of the bridesmaids commented on Dana's attitude and her lack of customer service. Shawna and Annette did a fantastic job and the results are amazing! Annette came over to the wedding venue to do touch ups for the Bridal party. The spa facility is nice, plush and comfortable but not overdone.
