The first reviewer is right - it is odd to find something like this in a farmer's market, and the massage is serious. My last chair massage worked out a number of knots in my shoulders and neck, and my questions were expertly answered. The fee seems standard - about a dollar a minute, less so the longer the massage goes on. This was $19 for a 20 minute massage, plus tip. Well worth it, because the rest of my weekend just felt better. I'll be back.

Unexpected Pricing: Ask Upfront…read more My 17-year-old son visited Q-Salon on Monday, Feb 16. He has been there before and was charged $35 for a haircut, and the pricing sheet says "$35 and up." This visit, he was charged $58 with no price discussed beforehand. When I returned the next day to ask about the difference, I was told that each stylist sets their own price and that rates vary. I suggested clearer upfront pricing so customers know what to expect, but the response felt dismissive. While my son could have asked in advance, the lack of transparent pricing made this a disappointing experience, and our family will not be returning.

I had an appointment with Dana for a special haircut. I saved my money (it was way more than I…read moreusually pay) and treated myself to a top-level haircut and stylist. I showed her an Instagram video of the cut and expressed that my son was getting married in 2 weeks, so this cut was important. I was in the chair maybe 4 minutes, head bent forward, snip, side to side snip and the cut was done. After researching how this cut was usually done, I was beside myself. The Blow-out was spent with her fingers throughout my hair with strands flying everywhere. This blowout was faster than my own. I thought, maybe she'll go over the cut when dry but then unsnapped the black cape and said she was done. I said, "That's it?" and she replied "yep!". I got out of the chair and immediately canceled the next appointment which was the special blowout the day of my son's wedding. I thought, I can do that myself. The cut was pricey and uneven. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.
