When I initially booked an appointment for this massage parlor two weeks in advance, I specifically mentioned it to be scheduled on Sunday, March 1, 2026. This establishment called me multiple times a week before, on Sunday, Feb 22, 2026, assuming that I was supposed to come in on that Sunday. I reiterated that the appointment was set for March 1st. On the day of the appointment, March 1st, I was traveling from out of town to come here. I called to let them know that I would be up to 15 minutes late due to traffic en route. I arrived at 6:15 PM on the dot, and they started to call me again. I told them I was literally outside. At check-in, I showed a Groupon deal from my phone. It seemed like they had a difficult time authorizing the voucher; however, they were eventually able to honor it. Pertaining to the massage experience, it was executed nicely. I truly enjoyed the methods and techniques that were applied during the session. The other letdown was that the staff member rushed me a bit, constantly knocking on the door and asking if I was ready to go. Even though I enjoyed the massage itself, the overall nuisance and rushed atmosphere from the staff left the experience somewhat lacking.

Halfway through the session, a man walks in and takes over for the female masseuse. I have never had a male masseuse before and felt uncomfortable thereafter. I honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. As I'm walking out the door, the male masseuse is standing there waiting for a tip. I smile, say thank you and keep on walking out. I understand this is a cultural habit of theirs but not only do I not partake in handouts, I also felt the massage I received did not warrant a tip. I felt manhandled. Not to mention, the music playing in the room was on a loop and it drove me nuts. I woke up sore the next day. Next time I want a massage, I guess I have to pay $95-$120 and go out of my way to do so.

Pressure was either too soft (non existent) or too hard in the wrong areas (like the bones). I was getting cramps throughout the session because wrong pressure was applied to the wrong areas. She doesn't know where the pressure points were nor try to identify them let alone how the movements should be. And she was clumsy. I didn't like how fast she was going as if she was rushing to get through it. Moving from random areas to random areas. Stretches didn't feel good. Hot stones didn't feel relaxing. When she was massing my neck, she pressed down so hard on my necklaces that my necklaces were scraping my skin. Just rough and clumsy. Massage session should feel smooth and flowing not kinks and awkward. I came out with more pain than when I first came in. 10 mins into the message, I felt like I wanted to tell the front desk to change person. Regret I didn't ask. $60 for the one hour massage and extra $20 for tips. When I left, the front desk lady didn't ask about my experience. Not a smart way to improve customer experience/retention. I would give her my honest answer. Will I return? Probably not. Pretty disappointed.

I still have not received the refund Amy offered nor have I received any communication from her to clarify what she did intend to communicate or to proceed with a refund she offered. Instead of accepting it, Nancy became visibly upset and began demanding more money, creating a very uncomfortable and unprofessional scene. My family member tried to calmly explain her reasoning, but Nancy continued to insist, and the situation escalated to the point where additional money was given just to diffuse the confrontation. Tipping should always be based on the quality of service and given voluntarily. It should never be demanded or coerced. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business as a whole. I'm sharing this not to attack, but to highlight an experience that needs attention.
