When I called here I spoke with Billie Jo and she totally explained how the service worked with the skin removing all of the dull skin and the peach fuzz hair so that you skin will glow and make up will go on flawlessly with no down time. After speaking with Billie Jo I was more than confident that I wanted her to handle this for me. Considering a blade is involved you better trust the person that is working on your skin. When I arrived at the salon Billie Jo was very welcoming and walked me back to the room to fill out a few forms. After the paperwork, I got under the comfy blanket and Billie Jo started working her magic. I was thinking that I am a good exfoliator so the whole part about getting alot of dead skin off of my face would not happen but I was wrong. Billie Jo removed quite a bit of dead skin and all of the peach fuzz. There was an addition enzyme treatment which was also very nice and smelled wonderful. After the procedure was finished she said just stay laying for a minute and take your time getting up....I'm thinking....getting up, who wants to get up. This place is absolutely awesome and Billie Jo is such a sweetheart. If you make an appointment with her you will love her.

When I got home, looked at what was left of my hair and went into shock, I contacted the salon to get help styling the mess I was left with. "Sure, come in to see the same stylist". No way I was getting in her chair again. Then I dropped in + asked the owner, she didn't have time, so I messaged to take her up on the offer to show me a way to style it. She then changed her mind and decided it would be an additional charge. Nice. Don't you love it when the stylist you paid to do your hair reassures you that "Its' Only Hair! - It will grow."

I couldn't find the 2 items I needed, so I asked one of the young employees. When I told her the items, she led me to one of them, but for the second one she took me elsewhere. She continued to try and sell me on this new product, applying what she thought was a good color for my face. It was too dark and then she started to add contour. I told her I barely wear makeup and didn't want contour. She proceeded anyway. I was hesitant about the liquid product and how dark it was, so I asked for a lighter shade. She applied a lighter one on the other side of my face that blended in seamlessly. I told her I liked the second one. She continue to push me on the darker one and the contour. I told her I was going to skip it completely and just get my normal products. Then she stated the above quote.

The eyebrow threading was totally different than I expected, it was like the rolled the thread to remove the hairs. During some parts I was asked to pull the skin to allow better access, required both my hands. It wasn't painful but I did feel twinges 2-5 minutes after it was all done. I loved the results. I have no idea if it's better or worse than eyebrow waxing but I was there for a new experience so didn't really care. Again, the results are just as good as waxing. I then went for the ear wax pull, I'd read about it but wasn't sure how real it was. At the end of the day the straws had ear wax and honestly, the ear that I heard the most sizzle had the most ear ax in the straw. It didn't give me super hearing but it was interesting to do and see. I'll definitely return for eyebrow threading and maybe a facial next time too.

I now go to smaller places like these because I find they usually do a better job. I was on Amelia Island accompanying my husband who attended a conference at the Ritz. I wanted a massage without the $300 price tag from the hotel, so I came here because of the reviews I had read and was not disappointed! I wanted a deep tissue massage to work out my knots. Danielle was wonderful and found tight knots in spots I didn't even know I had them! Whenever she found a trouble area, she spent time on it rather than just continuing the routine. That's what made it excellent! I felt so good afterwards because the tightness had dissipated. I wish I would have had time to come back to continue working on those knots and it made me realize I need to find a therapist local to me so that I can continue the treatments and get rid of those knots once and for all. Thank you Danielle, what a great massage! If I ever come back to Amelia Island, I will be sure to book another session with you.
