I sensed this might be the case because I tried calling shortly after they opened but no one picked up. I got a call about 15 minutes later though. She also asked us what we wanted to focus on that session and we let her know, but I felt like the therapists didn't necessarily focus on those areas too much ultimately. The massages themselves were fine. Mine started off strong during the foot massage with a nice shoulder rub. But my partner said his started off less strong during the foot massage. He also said that much of his body massage entailed massaging a lot of bone but not necessarily tissue, although the person was strong. My body massage was just okay. There was a lot of rubbing and pressure point massages but not necessarily getting out knots. Overall it was just fine and the massages themselves were more like 3 stars. For the price, it is a solid massage place -- $50 for a 70-minute combination massage (30-minute foot and 40-minute body). But it's nothing special.

I'm not sure why the massage therapist had only one mode and the only mode was hard-core pressure, extreme movements, and inflicting pain. I was maybe overly optimistic that I could communicate what I wanted in the session and most of it went ignored. The first thing that happened was she dug into my temples so hard I thought to myself that it was a lethal amount of pressure and I'm not even exaggerating. Google it online about pressing into someone's temples. I was bruised for a few days after. Then, she stuck her fingers in my ears and pulled my head up toward the top of the table. In what world is that a therapeutic or comfortable sensation? It was borderline violating. The rest of the massage I was on guard trying to guide her to stay away from an injured part of my body and to manage the pressure so I could tolerate it. I honestly felt like I had to survive the session rather than focusing on enjoying it. I should've just ended it as soon as it started. I really hope the owners can understand that not everybody wants rolfing and there has to be different levels of massage intensity. Let's start with basic language- soft, medium, hard pressure. Moving forward I've decided that I'm only going to licensed sports massage professionals.

She was able to communicate with me and told me there wasn't any hot stone therapy available. Nor was there any oil massage. The lady who massaged me was very strong and some of the massage was alright. Then she became rather rough with me and was hurting me. Squeezing my calves too hard. She seemed to ignor my outbursts of discomfort. So I literally had to tell to STOP massaging me so HARD. To go lighter on me. Go to medium... She would for a short time, then resume her heavy handed (literally) massage. I have 2 huge bruises on my left lateral side. I have more bruises on my upper right lateral thigh too. It was just really a weird and painful experience. This lady also put TIGER BALM on my open cut/wound. I screamed! She hurt me even more when she applied the ointment. I wiped it off as fast as I could. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I still tipped the lady. I felt obligated. But I will never go back there.
